Working with spirit is a never ending learning process. Each time you delve a little deeper or reach a little higher you are tested. I hope you enjoyed Monday’s Challenge post but in the grand scheme of things it was a relatively easy refocus… today I want us to walk the lesser trodden path.

Why are you here? It was a shocking question offered up to me over the weekend whilst working on my own ascension training and the magikal apprenticeship that we must undertake as a practicing Grail Knight… why are you here?… Er?

Understanding the Grail brings power, the power of God into your life. That power equals mastery over yourself, over your environment and over others… that is basically what power is, it’s influence. “So then,” posits my angelic guide having just set the challenge of all challenges before me assessing all the while what my reaction to the full-on course change being presented to me, “So then, why are you here?”

The answer was simple but I hadn’t seen it prior (not in this context anyway), I was so transfixed by the enormity of the quest I was being asked to achieve that the tumultuous notions flowing around my head consisted of only questions like: Why now? Why the change in direction? Why would God bring me so far to turn me around? Why do the angels want me to repeat that same pattern, build that same metaphorical prison? What if my life changes and I can’t complete it? What’s it going to cost me in time, money, physical effort? What do I have to sacrifice?….

Me, me, me, I, I, I, why, why, why?

So then, what are you here for?

When I calmed down enough to recognise that the challenge was not an actual instruction and simply a device to assess my response I have to be honest I was mortified by my own reaction.

You are here to serve… that was the light bulb moment. God bestows power, magic, wisdom and resources for one reason and one reason only: for you to further His plans.

Though I attempt to serve everyday, we all become wrapped up in the everyday personal reality of how things affect us as individuals but trust me, when a hero puts on a suit of armour and takes an oath as a Knight of The Wholly Grail, he must never again mistake Self-Full with selfish.

I’m here to serve (and now I’m applying Principle 3: I AM Human to forgive my momentary forgetfulness before I get back to work).

More later… x
