Monday Moving Moment – Discovering The True Path

Two ancient and mythical villages, connected only by a treacherous mountain pass that was carved out over millennia by a now long gone crystal clear glacial stream, were kept apart not only by the distance between them, but by an outdated handed down tradition of separation. The villagers from each would gather together once weekly at an old shrine at the halfway point along the pass to trade goods and services vital for the survival of both.

Many generations had honoured this tradition and none had ever ventured passed the shrine towards the opposite village or even thought to question the unspoken treaty… until now.

For months, a boy from the southern village had witnessed the mesmerizing grace offered by a young girl from the northern village as they exchanged their wares and traded glances, coming to understand that their interactions were gradually becoming much more than commerce. She too had begun to understand that the stirrings within her heart had been born of something deeper than mere acquaintance. Each week as they individually prepared their baskets of produce to carry to shrine, their anticipation of meeting, of a passing smile or catching the other’s eye grew into passion and beyond into need.

After many months had gone by and stolen moments had been shared, the boy from the southern village began to ask questions of the tradition and treaty. “Why is it that we may never venture beyond the shrine?” “Why do our villages never blend beyond market day?” Nobody could offer him an appropriate answer to this age-old directive and so he took it upon himself to ask for divine guidance on the matter…

It wasn’t market day but he didn’t care, the shrine was surely built for more than just a trading post though no one could remember its true purpose either. He set off along the arduous path through the mountain pass determined to find answers at the shrine as to how he could break with tradition to win and be with his beloved.

At the shrine was an old man, sitting with his eyes closed in contemplation. He was bearded and carried a long stave of gnarled wood, his clothes were that of a beggar but his countenance that of a prince. The boy dared not speak to disturb this man’s peace but his presence had already been detected and without even opening his eyes the man spoke: “What is it you seek young man?”

Startled by the power in the old man’s voice, the boy lost his footing and fell hard on his backside. His pride wounded slightly more than his person he looked up to find the old man now wide-eyed and gently smiling, “What is it you seek?”

The boy began to relate the story of the split villages and his growing love for the girl in the northern village to the old man, ending his tale by conceding that no one knew why the shrine was built or why no one would venture beyond it from either direction.

The old man considered for a moment and then made a request of the boy: “Today I ask you to walk beyond the shrine just a few steps beyond where your eyes can currently see. No harm will come to you but once you discover what is just out of view, you must return to me here.” The boy agreed to do as the old man had requested and gingerly set off beyond the shrine…

Ten minutes later the boy returned to find the old man’s eyes tightly shut and patiently waited for the sage to speak. After a while the booming voice came: “What did you find just beyond your perception?” The boy was eager to recount that he had stumbled upon a second path and that he had no idea which path led to the northern village and his beloved or where indeed the the other would take him.

The sage thought for a moment and then offered guidance…

“One path is the path of unity and togetherness, the other is the path of solitude and independence. Both paths will lead you to the same place but that place is not where you are expecting to go. Both paths will offer you experience beyond your current comprehension, both will challenge you to your core, neither path will be easy nor will it be well trodden but each is signposted along the way if you know how to read the signs.” He concluded by asking: “Which path will you take?”

Confused, the boy asked “But if neither will take me where I expect to go, how then should I choose?”

The sage, whispering now, offered more guidance… “The true path you seek exists not beyond the shrine on a treacherous mountain pass towards an unknown village and the promise of romance, but within the heart of how you choose which one to walk. You see before you only two paths: unity or independence, but in truth there are four paths beyond the shrine.” More confused now, the boy protested the truth of what he had seen: “No sir, there are but two paths ahead, just beyond the ridge as far as the eye can see!”

“But you can walk either, one of two ways. You can walk the path in love and faith or you can walk the path in fear.”

The boy’s eyes widened as he listened.

“Your beloved awaits you on the path of unity but if you join her there because you are afraid to be alone, you will try to possess her and crush her spirit and you will end up alone anyway. If you join her on the path in love and faith you will be blessed on the adventure of a lifetime in co-creative service to a higher purpose…. If you choose to walk the path of independence through the fear of commitment to another, you will whither without cooperation or be crushed by those who would take your power.  If however, you walk the path of solitude with an open heart, others will come and go to mutually support you when you need and co-creative higher purpose though different, will still be the outcome of your adventure.”

At that moment, as the boy digested the wisdom he had received, the beautiful young girl from the northern village arrived at the shrine carrying bread and water… “Hello Grandfather, she said warmly handing the old sage her offerings, “How was your meditative solitude today?”

She smiled sweetly at the young boy she admired as she helped the old man stand and continued: “Which path shall we take home today?”

What about you? Which path will you take home?

Saturday Oracle – Beyond A Karmic Connection

The Universe may just be about to offer you the chance of a lifetime and it involves a very difficult choice: to leave behind the painful mistakes of yesterday and travel beyond a karmic connection, or to hold onto the bitterness and blame of situations long since relegated to the halls of history and forever be trapped by unforgiveness.

This week’s oracle is a little unusual in that it contains two challenge or chakra cards. This is because when selecting the cards by the force of the energy flowing through them, I couldn’t differentiate the level of power they each had. What was obvious to me though was the polarity of the energy within each… Principle 3: I AM Human acts as a back drop to the magnetic dance being performed by the two challengers. It’s underlying message is one of fallibility and forgiveness, it smacks of repetitive patterns and the free will fuck-ups that we as a species and as individuals are destined to make in the name of learning and evolution… and it takes some of us longer than others.

In the first instance I chose the chakra card that offered the frequency of pain. Simply because I understood that its polar opposite would offer relief and therefore the cure for the first. The card turned out to be the vibrant orange sacral chakra. Pulling this card with Principle 3 speaks of repetitive relationship mistakes and the pain of co-dependency. Like the Devil in a tarot deck, temptation, entrapment, emotional bondage and repetition have been feeding disappointment born of expectation up to a point but this karmic connection, call it a soul mate relationship if you will, has now played out its dark side and this karmic lesson is complete.

Here is where the polar opposite energy stream emanating from the emerald green of the heart chakra comes into play in a dynamic plot twist that offers a higher karmic lesson that you can choose to accept in this lifetime or roll over into the next. This is the lesson of unity.

We cannot separate the Principle from the cure and therefore the way through, should you choose to accept the new evolutionary mission now, is forgiveness.

Forgiveness in this case is not a word or even a sentiment, it requires the complete surrender of every painful memory or action that has passed between the divine masculine and divine feminine in the previous karmic cycle, not through dismissal but through acceptance. It requires ceremonial definition as an absolute ending to what was, in order to become what will be.

Unity requires, no, demands the execution of the old paradigm of competition as the now complementary (no longer opposing) forces align to face the next test together… a test that the universe has designed to be unachievable as individuals.

Of course you can choose to forego the new karmic adventure and carry on as you were. Stepping through this gateway, though agreed upon by all parties prior to incarnation, is still and always will be subject to free will.

In summary then: that was then, this is now… choose unity or choose separation but the old story has come to its natural end and the way of the heart is the doorway between levels of consciousness. If you choose to remain on your side of the portal your life will continue along its current trajectory, if you choose to step through you will ascend to a higher level of love than you have ever before experienced in your fragile human form.

I suspect the decision might take a little time… have a great week.

Saturday Oracle – Like The Wind Blows

Without boundaries, without shackles. Love like the wind blows.

Intense energy arriving this week as we are greeted by this dynamic duo of Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted, with an illumined orange sacral chakra. Unmistakably a sacred partnership that is asking each party to remove all walls and obstacles to let love love blossom.

This week you may find yourself in a very raw vulnerable state as you are asked to open wide all doors and windows to your heart allowing the energy of love to blow through, just like the wind.

As we know all too well of late, wind can be fierce and uncompromising, destroying lives and families… but it can also be soft and gentle bringing fresh air into stagnant places, thoughts, ideas and regimes. Love is the same. Where there are no obstacles and no expectations the intensity is irrelevant, only resistance creates damage. Love is a benign force, it has no agenda, it’s only intention is to move like the wind blows: spread, and be shared, neither grasped at nor rejected, no increase nor depletion… there cannot be more or less love, only the speed and direction of flow increases or slows down in relation to your ability to receive and transmit seems to amplify the universal elixir.

As you enter this week do so understanding that another is offering you love (directing the flow towards you). It may not arrive in the form you hoped for, but it is in no way any less of a gift than in any other form. You have a choice to gratefully and graciously receive and transmit the life giving, transformative juice or you can close the windows and doors to your heart space and be battered by the impact caused by obstruction… that’s right, rejecting love causes pain.

I’m not suggesting you forget your discernment and encourage unwanted advances but that isn’t what this week is predicting. No encouragement is necessary for the genuine sacred union of souls indicated by this combination.

However love shows up for you this week, learning to give and receive in equal measure will bring positive change into your life, relationships, communication and creativity.

Weekend Wonderment – Navigating The Narrowest Channel

(Reposted from June 30th)

The path of least resistance isn’t always obvious until you step foot upon it. Oftentimes we agonize over the choices laid out before us, trying to discern between a rock and a hard place but usually between a rock and a hard place is sliver of light, a chink in the armour of reality that we observe as the boarder or boundary between options instead of an option in its own right. Navigating the narrowest channel is simply a matter of taking the brakes off and allowing Source to carry you toward the next set of options.

Take communications between two parties for example. In difficult situations where there appears to be much at stake and neither side is entirely sure of how the other will react to direct approach; face to face negotiation/reconciliation has proven a logistical improbability, convenience, timezones, the rising expectations versus many misunderstandings making phone calls potentially explosive interactions, what does it leave? A narrow channel of creative expression written in the name of universal wisdom (Principle 4: I AM Truth) in hope that the target audience may be paying attention? It might not be a guaranteed option but it is certainly the path of least resistance until such time that another option or opportunity presents itself.

Sometimes that channel becomes so tight though, cutting off parts of the previously available slipstream, that the path of least resistance begins to change direction. In the communication scenario, supposing that the information, however limited it may previously have been, becomes obscured or hidden from view? Less universal and accessible? Communication may slow to a drip or completely unless the embargo is somehow lifted or another way around the obstacles is found.

Perhaps in this case the path of least resistance is to let go completely and accept that all good things come to an end. Source has a plan and when obstacles keep showing up to block your progress maybe it isn’t just another test, maybe it’s a celestial stop sign, like an oracle or omen you cannot read, or a map that doesn’t show north.

For my own journey, currently filled with new learning and potential in many areas, the path of least resistance in others has begun to narrow significantly. Though the slipstream still exists and a miracle is still possible, if the messages cannot get through the magic stops.

I’m optimistic that God will show me a new path, a wider path with increased incoming flow (Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted)… whether that flow will come from the same origin or a new source of inspiration I don’t know, but I’m open to surfing the channel that has least resistance… for too long I’ve been trying to fight against a current that’s been flowing in opposition to my chosen destination but I cannot fight no current at all.

A rock, a hard place, the path of least resistance… what’s your chosen path this weekend?

Amplification Of Passion – Meet Me In My Wholeness

Finding out who you are is the first step in creating the life and love that you really want. Up until the point of accepting that prior to understanding your true nature you are simply seeking to heal something you believe is missing, you will always seek out a vibrational match to the perceived broken aspect of self.

Basically put, whilst your are trying to fill a void, you’ll attract someone or something that reflects and reinforces that void within you.

Damn!

Once you let go of the need to be other than you are… broken, whole, perfect, imperfect… it’s all relative and a matter of perception, you begin to accept that what makes you different is what makes you who you are. In this state of self-acceptance, you begin to exude new levels of purity and authenticity that draw towards you a plethora of miracles including your reflection in the purity of others.

If others will meet me in my wholeness, we become the amplification of passion. Let me explain:

Imagine that your heart centre is a light-filled vessel, say a Grail cup. Now as you are eliminating light from this heart chakra, filled, fuelled and overflowing divine purity to all who draw near, their heart centre’s are reflecting back that divine purity and because they are already filled, fuelled and overflowing, the light is increasing and creating something new that can be shared out further. Everyone is sharing what they have to give, nobody is taking what isn’t needed.

Take instead a depleted, say half full heart chakra. It craves love so it shines what it has at whatever comes close… as the law of attraction demands that like attracts like, potentially that is another half full heart chakra that needs to be further filled. (Are you still with me)? “I’ll take that, thank you very much.” Says the approaching half-hearted chakra… The original waiting now to receive something in return to fill the depleted vessel that just gave what it had away as a bargaining chip.

I just said yesterday to a dear friend: “two broken people do not make a whole one.” Find your authentic wholeness and use it to help another find it within themselves (if they will it), then the two of you will amplify the light for others making you, as a team, a force to be reckoned with.

So how do you find your inner light? Read my last couple of posts, it’s a start.

Regardless of what you may currently believe, the only thing standing between you and everything you have ever wanted is you… and your opinion of how worthy you are of having it… but trust me when I say that if it’s for your highest good then it’s already yours.

Saturday Oracle – Entering Blissful Partnership

The energy coming from the oracle cards was excruciating, they were screaming “pick me, pick me!” After a week of high emotion, full moon shenanigans and rebellious tendencies, I’d simmered down enough not to argue with them. I made a promise when I began doing these oracle forecasts that I would honour whatever popped up regardless of how uncomfortable the combinations… the first set is the right set, no manipulating results to suit agendas, what would be the point?

This week is no exception as Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted partners literally with the vibrant orange sacral chakra… this is the combination of Divine or Sacred Marriage.

Divine Marriage is described in many ways and often as an alchemical balance of the masculine and feminine principles within, but make no mistake, this is not a metaphorical marriage, this is the combination of entering into or the deepening of an intimate relationship.

Entering into blissful partnership at least speaks to the beautiful nature of this affair of the mind, body and soul, as Principle 7 is the card of balanced giving and receiving. It holds within its remit the essence of unconditional love which allows each partner to be who they are without needing to hide a part of themselves in order to be accepted. This balance and the nurturing of individuality means that the heart flame within each burns brighter as a result of the union.

The sacral chakra is the sexual centre of the energy system and the creative energy here can be possessive meaning that it forms attachments easier and faster than any other chakra. Supported by Principle 7 however, those attachments are healthy and mutual.

So what exactly can we expect?

Where there has been separation, there will now be union. Where there has been uncertainty, there will now be reassurance. Where there has been divergent interests and agendas there will now be alignment. If you are in a relationship this is a week where you will make commitments to each other and feel safe enough to express love in all its forms and safe enough to receive love in all its forms. If you are not yet in a relationship and are looking to connect with a soul mate or twin flame, this combination speaks to your readiness to welcome the energy of romantic love into your life.

Fertility is also a factor here as the sacral energy is bursting with the spark of life ready to transform into a roaring fire, whether that’s the creation of a new idea, project or actual baby remains to be seen but you can be sure that the union between you and another will be a fruitful one one way or another.

Be careful not to throw this energy away on meaningless encounters, such dalliances will lead you to disappointment. Only real love is worthy of you now.

Be open, be ready.

Shouldn’t We Honour What Unites Us?

Apparently it’s International Women’s Day. That’s exciting isn’t it? A whole day just for celebrating the women of the world. I’m all for celebrating diversity and uniqueness, I really am, but isn’t it time we stopped drawing attention to what makes us different and started focusing on what makes us the same? Shouldn’t we honour what unites us?

Every time we create a new day for this or day for that, we say “hey world, you and I are not the same and this is why we are at war with each other and within ourselves.”

The very first Principle of The Wholly Grail simply states: I AM God. It’s not a religious statement, it’s not an elitist manifesto, it’s a declaration of unity paying attention to the divine nature of each and every living being, in fact not just every living being but everything in existence. If you aren’t comfortable with the word God then feel free to interject your own favourite word for The Indescribable Power… I don’t think it has a preference, the name we give it is just one more tool we use to divide us and promote disunity.

Today I would like to honour not just women, but respect, equality and compassion for everyone, for all things, in fact let’s make every day International Compassion Day, International Respect Day… in fact scratch that, let’s go for Universal Compassion and Respect Day!

To open our hearts to the beauty that exists around us and to venerate the light in all things would surely eradicate the need for us to stand up for the rights of any group or individual because their rights would be a given and therefore never questioned. It may be a naive wish, but the point behind all National and International “Days” is to give a voice to the oppressed or forgotten and to shout out “We matter!”

We all matter. The Divine doesn’t make mistakes.

Happy Universal Compassion and Respect Day x

Betrayed and Exposed

Divine marriage is the union of two apparently opposite forces joining to create a much greater, balanced and neutral entity. Some might describe it as yin and yang, some might embrace the idea of the god and the goddess, for many it is the meeting and commitment of soul mates that personify the quality of the sacred dance. Divine marriage is essential for each of us as we walk a conscious Grail path, but don’t assume that this involves another human being.

My writing, indeed my teaching in general is fuelled by my personal experience and journey, my own learning, seeking and often vulnerability are as I understand it, my greatest assets, but of late it has been tinged with generalities and has taken a less intimate tone… there’s a really good reason for that…

Divine marriage is sacrosanct. In a partnership, the most intimate details of your hopes, dreams, fears and fantasies are laid bare for the other party to embrace and the level of trust involved is the difference between feeling safe, loved and cared for or feeling betrayed and exposed. I’ve entered into a Divine marriage with my soul in order to know me better, in order to heal what holds me apart from the overflowing cup that is my Grail and that requires me to honour my soul’s vulnerabilities or rather it requires my soul to honour my ego’s vulnerabilities as my soul is my most invulnerable part and cannot be diminished by anyone’s actions including my own.

The most significant thing that has become apparent as a result of this union, is that I undertook the commitment in order to lead me to the Grail but the Grail was never lost, it was never out of my reach and very second my ego allowed my soul to speak and found the only words my soul knew how to say were: “I love you, welcome home” suddenly the cup overflowed and those words were all I needed.
