You’re Halfway There But Look How Far You’ve Come

As we entered July in the middle of last week it suddenly occurred to me that we had past the halfway mark in the year. Normally that floods me with a sense of “it’s all downhill from here,” but this year it feels different. A voice from the heavens was gently reminding me (to remind you) “You’re halfway there but look how far you’ve come.”

Call it what you will, but…

2020 so far has been remarkable. The forced alterations in our day to day lives have triggered a whole host of external and internal transformations that were somehow always destined to propel us along a new trajectory.

For me personally, that began around this time last year when I freed myself from a long term entanglement and began to rebuild my life the way I wanted it to be. This time for me, not for anyone else. It was transformed further when I jumped at the opportunities the universe sent my way, learning new skills and developing my long held dreams to serve more people in a way that honoured their stories as well as my own.

Finally finding balance

Perhaps sensing the incoming universal shifts earlier this year, I began to separate myself from even more unbalanced relationships, friendships and connections, reinforcing my personal and professional boundaries to protect my energy and align with the Principles I have spent years learning and developing.

It’s ok that it’s messy

The Grail is a blueprint for personal and spiritual happiness, wellbeing and peace but when you are so far off it, the journey back takes time and can look messy and uncomfortable to the outside world. I’ve been learning the path for years, but I only chose to walk it consciously the moment I began to say no to anything that is out of integrity with it.

Have I changed. Hell Yes!

Does that change please everybody in my life? Er?… No.

When Spirit reminded me: “You’re halfway there but look how far you’ve come,” I knew that another impending shift was just around the corner. I feel the phase coming to a close and a new one beginning. I’m well aware of the discomfort my clients and students go through when they begin this path in earnest, because I’ve lived it myself… but on the otherside of finding the Grail, is the self-love, peace and fulfilment you’ve been looking for. It may look very different from what you have imagined but it will feel better than you could ever have hoped for.

You are worth the effort

If you are struggling through life’s transitions at the moment, no matter what phase you are in, remember you are worthy of beautiful balanced connections and a life that will honour who you are at every level… and don’t settle for anything less than love, light and abundance. You’re halfway there but look how far you’ve come.

Let Spirit Fill In The Details

Have you ever been in that situation where you feel a calling to do something different but you really have no clue how to make the transition from where you are, to where you want to be? Can you surrender the struggle enough to let spirit fill in the details?

The calling and the codependency

More and more over the last year I’ve been asked to help women with imbalanced relationships or codependency issues to find self-love through The Grail. I myself found my own way out of a really unhealthy entanglement with the aid of it’s Principles. Just this weekend, I’ve heard from four such brave women. They have either found their way out, or are waking up to the fact that they have a choice to experience balanced, reciprocal, mutual and fulfilling connections. Not just in their romantic lives, but within all their friendships, partnerships, business connections and family dynamics.

The nudge and the shimmy

I know that, looking back through my history, this is a calling and I also know that The Universe has been nudging me gently towards working more in this area for some time. The trouble is, I’ve been so hazy with the details of how I should shimmy on over into that sector without losing a beat or without compromising the bigger picture of my spiritual teaching. I was simply asked by spirit to trust and to remain open.

Control and contrivance

If you are anything like me, (control freak alert), even in the wisdom of how spirit works miracles in your life, you may still be desperately trying to contrive those miracles to make the leap into your chosen calling… but here’s the thing: the more you contrive, the more you travel in circles.

Let spirit fill in the details

I let go of the proverbial steering wheel a few months ago and just got on with the day to day task of building in the background, and lo and behold, in comes an influx of the exact community of women that I’m meant to be helping. I did nothing except surrender the trying. What did ring an alarm bell for me though, was the fact that some of them were surprised that I was the perfect person to help them and that my apparent expertise in the area had, until now, gone unnoticed.

So often people think that a spiritual teacher is a bit woo woo and airy fairy and doesn’t live in the real world. I’ve spent the last 8 years taking the teachings of my spiritual guides and angels, and as instructed, honing that wisdom into real, life-transformational tools to build self-esteem, self-love, self-worth and balanced relationships. Its all coming together now, but I wish I could say I did that… I did the background work of perfecting my craft and living the Grail for myself so that I could experience first-hand the contrast between codenpendency and self-love, but the truth is: I let spirit fill in the details.

Let go and reach out

There are two things I want to leave you with:

  1. If you are trying to make the transition from the life you have to the life you want, just keep choosing the next inspired action and let spirit do the work of bringing in the opportunities.
  2. If you are one of the brave women out there who is ready to love more and find personal freedom and fulfillment in all her relationships, reach out, I may have the guidance you need.

Tiptoe On A Knife Edge

Balance is in full focus today as we arrive at the Spring Equinox (autumn if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere) that seemed to creep up on us whilst we were occupied with everything and nothing. One of two points in the calendar where the light and the darkness share precisely the same amount of moments and we pivot towards a new dominance. As we tiptoe on a knife edge seasonally, so too do we have an emotional choice to make… do we favour the darkness or the light.

The oracle combination I pulled at the weekend mirrored this shift from healthy exploration into potential addition and sets the scene for this post. Though it appears at first glance to have a sinister undertone it is in fact an invitation to understand that within you exists that point of perfect balance, liminal space, neither light nor dark, just sublime equilibrium, a pause between breaths, when you are neither one thing nor the other and power runs through you without resistance or hindrance… and then trust, faith, belief and innocence give way to fear on this knife edge… fear of falling.

When you fear something you create it.

Where you had balance you resorted to your conditioned state of believing that you needed something to maintain it, that someone might try to take it from you and you must protect it. And in that moment you veer to the left or to the right and the sharp line you were treading begins to wobble as you flail about trying to regain your centre but falling at this stage is inevitable… just as surely as tomorrow the light, the daylight hours will gain ground in the north and the darkness or night will take back dominion over the south.

It’s a subtle shift, a tilt you may not notice at first, but opposing forces must continue to circle around each other so that the elaborate game of life goes on.

Take time to honour and notice the shift within. Whatever state you are moving from or to emotionally, physically, intellectually, geographically… what ever area of your personal experience is evolving, observe, respect and bless this point of transition.

Take a moment today to assess where you’re at. Don’t panic, don’t struggle, balance will be restored naturally when you relax and trust that you are exactly where you need to be. Principle 2: I AM Detached will help you stay present with what is and Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted allows giving and receiving in equal measure… or in other words: perfect balance.

This Reverberating Web

I’ve been processing on a much more conscious level of late, the idea of home and what constitutes environmental comfort. Probably since my home was turned upside down a few months ago whilst the builders demolished and rebuilt my bathroom causing chaos in what seemed like every other room… that’s the point: you cannot contain a major change in one area of your life without everything else being affected, at least on a minor level. Minor adjustments to the continuum send shockwaves down every strand of the web however minute and seemingly unnoticeable at first.

Shockwaves, like sound waves can be carried on the wind and travel long distances, becoming diluted the further they travel, moving from deafening to an almost indiscernable haunting melody that is so faint that you’re not sure if it’s your subconscious playing tricks on you, before it fades completely having run its course.

When you consider your life, the structures that you’ve built for yourself like family, relationships, career, social standing, financial nest egg, your house or abode etc, these things that currently define your level of comfort and what makes you feel at home, what would happen if just one of those things were to dramatically change?

They will change.

Life is far from static and what you see as being your comfort zone will inevitably be tested… if you don’t step outside of it now and again the divine will shift the goalposts anyway to force you to look beyond your own back yard and understand that yesterday’s optimal is far from today’s potential… change is growth and the only way to survive change is to redefine home…

Looking within at your core beliefs and your connection to a higher power, knowing that who you are: a beautiful soul on an adventure, is the pure essence lying beneath the veneer, and holding onto the notion that this reverberating web is the greatest fun you can ever possibly experience (if you choose to see it that way) is quite enough to wake you up to the truth that home is so much bigger than the structures you have built up around yourself and that regardless of outer appearances, only a minor adjustment and a little time and distance from the main event horizon and the cacophony will once again become a haunting melody that you are perfectly at home dancing to.

Principles 1 & 5
