Monday(ish) Mind Manoeuvre – Imaginary Manager

Ridiculously late to be posting a Monday Mind Manoeuvre, in fact so much so that its almost a Tardy Tuesday Titbit but that’s somewhat the point of title…

My imaginary manager kicked in late last night when I took a look at my schedule for the week and felt a surge of overwhelm begin to take hold of me before the week had even begun. You see, its necessary for me to see ‘white space’ in my schedule. White space is the time I spend working on the things that are important to me, time I spend imagining greater spiritual truths, meditating, researching, daydreaming and quite often writing, but this week all I could see was commitment after commitment and no room for creativity.

Now the commitments were pleasant ones, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t thrive when I’m on someone else’s schedule and trying desperately to fit it all in. Do you ever find yourself stressing about letting people down? My imaginary manager had given over control to the expectations of others and more to the point, my own assumptions about what others were expecting, including thinking you were waiting on this little Grail insight, which of course is pure vanity and most of you didn’t notice it hadn’t happened!

So, stressed out, overwhelmed and wondering who to disappoint, I had a piss-poor night’s sleep and awoke even less capable of fulfilling my overtaxed schedule.

Who did I disappoint then?

Does it matter?

To be truly Self-Full, you must put your own wellbeing before any other priorities regardless of how urgent or important they may appear to be. If your imaginary manager is pushing you into overwhelm then it’s time to give him or her the boot and get to grips with what it really means to be the boss of you.

You are amazing, but your power lies in your ability to make good decisions… The best one you can make is YOU.

As it happens, I did everything on the schedule and moved the rest of the week around to fit it all in… (almost)… and to make Monday end even better the website is now on a stable new server and ready for you to sign up for free as a Seeker member to get a little extra from your Wholly Grail Quest.

Night night, God bless x

Getting To The Finishing Line Without Breaking A Sweat

How did Friday arrive without me noticing?

I’ve done a really stupid thing with my schedule over the next week or so, I’ve forgotten to leave room for me. Have you ever done that? Squeezed every last drop out of your waking hours on paper and then thought to yourself “shit I’ve not left any time for my own priorities or to just be.”

The thing is, I had my head down in full focus mode and time became an irrelevant notion that was limitless and I made it my friend, so when it came to booking in requests from clients, from family, from friends, and adding prior commitments into the mix I simply looked up, saw a space on the calendar and said yes… I never once thought to take a back step and ask myself what my own agenda for the week was and what I hoped to achieve with it…. I never looked at my own big picture.

My time the last few days seemed limitless because I was on task and on purpose, and the universe expands resources when you are focused on fulfilling a goal aligned with Spirit’s intentions for you. It’s like getting to the finish line without breaking a sweat, as per my mantra “clear me a path swiftly and simply into the slipstream towards my miracles.” But you have to pay attention to the big picture because that’s the miracle your slipstream is flowing towards.

Ok so I took my eye off the ball and I won’t be back on task now until the back end of next week, but at least I’m aware of it and can deliberately link into Principle 2: I AM Detached, the Principle that unravels the whole idea of time being finite because it demands that you plant yourself firmly in this moment and enjoy every minute of the process as it unfolds making it my friend once again… that’s what the slipstream truly is.

Have an amazing weekend x
