December’s Oracle – Ta-Da!

December’s Oracle – Ta-Da! Yes, The Sacred Chalice showed up to signal the arrival of something huge. No, I’m not talking about Christmas, I’m talking about a major turning point in life where it seems as if all roads were leading to this singular point.

Admittedly, The Sacred Chalice can be equally as challenging as it is miraculous and fortune could swing either way at this point, but what it does gurantee is change.

Change may arrive in the form of positive news, an opportunity, or invitation, but could just as easily denote illness or loss. Sometimes the biggest most exciting opportunity requires that you give something else up and so it holds both blessings and burdens in it’s grasp.

For me personally, when I pull this card I know that whatever the short term disruption may bring, the long term pay off is enormous and immeasurable, so I give thanks whenever I see it.

What I would like you to be vigilant about at this time is how you are processing the changes that are occuring around you. Even the happiest of occasions can create a disturbance in your health and energy field that need time to settle and ground. Two angels I like to call upon during times of chaos and upheaval are Archangel Haniel and Archange Uriel.

Haniel is the Angel of Grace and helps you to remain composed under pressure. Uriel, whose name means the Light of God helps me to stabilise my inner “pilot light” and keeps my physiological resources firing at a steady rate so I don’t hit burn out in the process.

Whatever exciting changes crop up for you this week, try to maintain some routine and pay close attention to how Self-Full you are being: rest well, hydrate, eat a nutritious diet and make time to both exercise and meditate. My best friend through all the changes I’ve negotiated over the years has been my journal. It helps me to process how I’m feeling, what I’m thinking and also to monitor the tone and texture of my mindset, allowing me to adjust the sails in a more positive direction if I begin to lose myself in all the mess.

As The Sacred Chalice is the only card in the Intuitive Chalice that is not accompanied by a chakra/challenge card, the exact nature of your Ta-Da! moment is impossible for me to predict and will no doubt touch multiple layers of your life. It is an indication that The Grail is present, only you can know whether the Grail is overflowing in your life or has been spilled over and emptied…

One thing is for sure, the nature of the universe is that all states serve and we must experience both in balance in order to fully know what it is to live and love.

I’m praying your December’s Oracle – Ta-Da! moment is the biggest blessing of the decade.

Love Jo x

Saturday Oracle – Heads: You Win, Tails: You Still Win

Our trusty favourite: The Sacred Chalice makes an appearance this week and of course we don’t need to pull a chakra challenge card with this indicator as it stands alone and speaks for itself. And it affects every part of your life when it shows up. We don’t always consider it a favourite though, considering it could literally go either way unless of course you begin to take the attitude and perspective of “Heads: you win, Tails: you still win.”

If life, health, wealth, love and happiness were the contents of a cup (or sacred chalice), then the fuller the cup the more of those things you would enjoy, or any combination of them. What if the cup spilled? Now you would consider yourself to be really unlucky in those areas and to potentially have lost everything, right?

What if the now empty cup was instead considered and pure, clear vessel in which create abundance with fresh energy and new versions of those things that you think you lost? What if the spilled contents were merely making way for more beautiful opportunities to flow into your life?

When you see this week as a win-win situation whichever way the Chalice shows up, then the surge of wonderful that is headed your way will be just that, provided you employ every one of the Grail Principles.

Change is inevitable. The Sacred Chalice is akin to a blended Tower, Star and Wheel of Fortune in the tarot. It can bring blessings but it can also bring stress as your circumstances shift. Whatever is going on around you, keep a keen eye on your health and well-being while the chaos subsides and remember that whatever is making a mess in the moment, be it an upturned or an overflowing Grail cup, when the dust settles and you look back at it from the other side of this week, you will see the miracles and the potential for even more.

Consciously Emptying The Sacred Chalice – A Lesson In Wellness

My posts have been a little haphazard and Ad hoc the last couple of weeks having been thrown into an uncomfortable situation where home has become an uncertain future, flowers don’t enjoy being uprooted. Whilst that stress continues though, I have been consciously emptying the sacred chalice, my metaphorical Grail cup, and so this then has become for me a lesson in wellness.

Let me paint a little picture for you… I’m writing this whilst wrapped up in bed having come down with some lurg or other and feeling a little bit grotty, knowing full well that my levels of stress over the last couple of weeks have depleted my immunity and my natural resilience to microscopic airborne assailants rendering me susceptible to this current virus… but the worst thing is knowing I got there consciously, knowingly, giving it full permission.

Why would anybody consciously empty the sacred chalice?

Principle 6: I AM Self-Full is multifaceted but it’s primary duty is taking care of one’s physical needs and well-being… when stressful situations arise and we launch into a natural tendency towards crisis management, we often forget that our primary home is the body we live in and its needs become secondary to whatever else it is we are prioritising.

When I say consciously, what I mean is that at a regular points during the on going drama, I have spoken out loud to friends and loved ones, “I need to stop eating crap,” “my muscles are in knots,” and a flurry of other acknowledgements to my growing discomfort and self neglect, but no sooner had the issue been recognised and acknowledged than I had substituted a fast fix that I knew would get me past the immediate need but ultimately put me in this bed!

So early this week I wrote about “Just One Thing.” I’m adding this as an appendix: “…but not at the expense of your health.”

Principle 6, Things to remember:

  • Self-Full means eating nutritious, life enhancing foods (lay off the starch, fat and sugar).
  • Self-Full means regulating sleep patterns (not surfing property listings at 3am).
  • Self-Full means exercising (especially if you need to burn off stress hormones) gentle yoga or tai chi will help you relax too.
  • Self-Full means meditation to clear your mind (not over thinking and second guessing).
  • Self-Full means asking for help when you need it (and being open to offers).
  • Self-Full means joyfully acknowledging life as an adventure (even the scary bits) so love it!

I can honestly say that being unwell has given me an excuse to let go of all the stress and striving and just take care of me, but the tragic thing is that I didn’t need an excuse and I didn’t need to make myself sick to get there.

Dump the stress now, all is exactly as it should be.

I’m off now to set my Grail cup back upon its base and begin to refill it. Isn’t it nice to know that those who teach are human and f**k it up too? (Principle 3).

Saturday Oracle – Teetering On The Rim

Sometimes you just know. This is now quite possibly our most popular pick in its regularity at least, and I wasn’t at all surprised by its appearance.

The Sacred Chalice turns up when you are about to hit either the top or the bottom of a cycle and brings with it either great celebration or alternatively great sadness or disappointment. As I’m writing this I honestly cannot get a sense of which it will be as you’re teetering on the rim and it could go either way.

Success or failure, for now, you have done all you can to influence the outcome and you must surrender to a power much higher than yours to determine what fate has in store, a bit like The Wheel of Fortune in tarot.

What I can tell you, and if you have been reading this week’s posts you will be as unsurprised by this pick as I am, is that when this Chalice appears, so too does the energy of imbalance…

If you win: celebrating will take the primary focus and other areas of life will be neglected as you indulge in the revelry of your success.

If you lose: drowning your sorrows will have exactly the same effect, as will wallowing in self pity.

Either way you will no doubt have failed to heed a few Principles in the run up to the make or break moment, most notably Principle 2: I AM Detached, as your mind races to predict impossible to pin down outcomes, stress will most surely have kicked in and mental and emotional exhaustion can often be a result of the increased anxiety… be aware that this will increase your risk of illness as your immune system depletes. If you are lucky enough to fall into the full Cup of Destiny then the happy hormones that follow will sort you right out, but if you are the unlucky one who falls off the golden rim and tips the Chalice up all over you, then I’m sending you straight from here to the Self-Full corner to put all your attention back onto your own health and personal care.

I wish I could give you an exact heads up on what the outcome might be but what I can tell you is this: when you let go, surrender and allow life to happen, you give it permission to surprise you…

And may it surprise you beautifully this week.

More next week.
