Monday Mood Management – Brand New Day

It’s a brand new day.

Isn’t that amazing? It implies that when the sun came up this morning it burnt away all the sticky energy that held you back yesterday. And combined with the fact that the first new moon of the astrological year was last night, it seems that the newness of the day is even more powerful…

But are you about to opt to drag the unnecessary into the present moment just because it’s familiar?

Let’s imagine for just a moment that you have all the resources present to create something totally unique from scratch today that would transform your life and the lives of others for the better in myriad ways. There are no instructions, no pictures of the finished product (because it hasn’t been invented yet), just your creative ingenuity and an insatiable desire to be of service. What are you going to create?

The task seems enormous when there is no direction and this is a time when you could easily allow yourself to be guided by an “I can’t” attitude, stifling your natural propensity towards inventive play… that’s what life is asking of you: inventive play. It uplifts your mood, transports you into your childlike “anything’s possible” mindset, kick-starts your problem solving brain cells and helps to build new synapses along the way.

It’s a brand new day… so how are you going to get started?

Step 1: Take a good long look at your social environment. What are the recurrent themes, problems and difficulties that those around you are dealing with?

Step 2: Without succumbing to the temptation to join the “that’s just how it is” brigade, recognise that every problem has a solution, even if it merely alleviates rather than eliminates the issue.

Step 3: Make a quick assessment of your skills and talents, all of them… you might be a brain surgeon by vocation but are also a dab-hand with a lawnmower so don’t underestimate the everyday abilities you have that can make a difference to the lives of others.

Step 4: Identify the tools and resources available to you that you can utilise to McGyver-style if need be.

Step 5: Gather support if you need it. Who around you has the skills and talents that you need to pull off this ingenious undertaking. Ask them for help… recruit those with a similar goal or those who are affected by the issue to be your army of helpers.

Step 6: Try until you succeed….

That last one is the biggy. Failure isn’t a part of this new day’s philosophy, you only fail if you give up. This new day, this new mood, this new you is a creative genius whose ethos is built on trial and error and each attempt that doesn’t quite go according to plan helps to eliminate a path until the path of success reveals itself.

Those problems you are attempting to find solutions to… yesterday those problems were just people who convinced themselves they were helpless to make a difference. You were one of them…. today the only problem is remembering that you hold the key to the answer.

It takes a full cup and every Principle of The Wholly Grail to be a creative leader… Are you ready to get started?

Let me help you take the next step into Divine Service here.

What If I Told You Everything Is All Right?

Resist the temptation to correct my spelling for a moment and instead allow the title to fully sink in. It’s not just alright, everything is all right.

Listening to an inspirational teacher yesterday afternoon as I sometimes do as part of my “getting my groove back” rituals, I heard the really ordinary platitude with a pause in the wrong place or the emphasis on the wrong syllable or whatever the correct term might be… she literally said everything is all right instead of alright. It’s the same thing, it comes from the same root and has the same intention behind it but somehow over time ‘alright’ has been relegated to that thing you say when someone is struggling, usually preceded by “there, there” and it isn’t always helpful.

How different it sounded to put a break between what was now two definite words.

For me it was like a switch being flipped inside my head and my perception filters turned up to full brightness as I reconciled any discomfort with what didn’t seem to be glowing in my life, and I suddenly began to see everything as perfect. At an imperceptible level when feeling other than enlightened, that wisdom exists but it’s easy to lose sight of it in the darkness. That’s all right too.

In the split second it took to hear that skew-syntax or cock-eyed cadence in the teachers speech, I had gone from deep gloom to focused determination and felt like the clouds parted and the sun started shining just for me. Where I haven’t felt in a while like everything was alright, I knew in that moment that everything is always right, even when it’s wrong. The notion of which is the most comforted I’ve felt in a long time and I knew that my connection to Source had been restored, my connection to me was re-established and the voice of Big G as I like to call Him/Her/It, was reminding me that I’m never actually off the path… I might get turned around a bit, I might be disoriented at times and retracing my own steps but that too is a part of the bigger plan. It’s like when you trip up in public and then get up and say “I meant to do that.” How can it be any other way if it was always the plan even if your localised human self wasn’t aware of it?

There is still dissonance in my orbit, still tainted nectar in my Grail chalice and where I once felt loving there is still irritation, but I took several aspects of my third dimensional life today and sorted through them knowing each was a perfect representation of what was causing dissension, and none of them were wrong… in fact they were all right. Knowing this has empowered me to let go of resistance and start moving each one towards resolution. That and a quick round of beginners Tai chi (being totally irreverent, non-PC and slight smutty with my names for each of the forms so I can remember them) and I feel positively chipper!

It’s not yet alright… but it’s all right. Simply put: “All is as it should be.”

Principle 4: I AM Truth… I hope that wasn’t too confusing?

First Monday Challenge – Being Pregnant With Possibilities

Not only is it the first Monday of the month, it’s also May and that must mean it’s Beltane. Being pregnant with possibilities seems like an appropriate subject, May Day being a celebration of fertility and all that, but it’s also following on from the theme of the weekend’s oracle… turning worrying about problems to creating solutions.

Positivity takes practice. When you place focused intent, determination and gratitude at the forefront of your mental agenda you become a manifestation machine. The quantum do-da’s of the universe deem it can be no other way… you are that powerful.

So while we’re attempting a challenge lets up the ante and make it three.

1. Focus your mind and become a dream maker

2. Bolster your resolve with determined action

3. Gratefully acknowledge every blessing.

So what is focused intent? Do you ever say to yourself “I want that,” only to hear your thoughts say “That’s impossible, it’s never going to happen”? Well, that’s the opposite of focused intent. Your conscious mind is for the intended outcome but your subconscious mind, the bit running the outdated programme is running interference on the plan… you are creating from your fearful, wounded perspective an internal error or battle of wills.

Uninstalling the faulty app is not so easy when the device in question is your own psyche so you are going to have to learn to override the programme… that means being super vigilant for a time until it becomes automatic. When the negative mantra pipes up “who are you trying to kid?” You are going to have to make a statement to the little voice that’s heckling from the side lines: “I hear you my friend, and for a time I even believed you knew what you were talking about but here’s the thing, the only thing that stands between us and the goal is you, I’m done listening… that thing I want, its not just achievable, it actually wants me to have it, achieve it, conquer it. It’s routing for me so why aren’t you? So for now, if you shout, I’m gonna shout louder. If you say tom-ay-toe I’m going to yell tom-ar-toe and one thing’s for certain… we will not be calling the whole thing off!”

Determined action is about committing to the process and actually following through. It’s no good arguing with the heckler if you just sit there and do nothing, All those possibilities, all those roads that lead to Rome, (Rome being just an analogy for the goal you’ve chosen, obviously), adventures to be had down every one of them, basically means that it doesn’t matter which route you take as long as you don’t give up and turn back at the first sign of trouble, because that would be akin to admitting to your inner heckler “Okay buddy, you were right all along.” Not going to happen, this is a challenge remember?

Then there’s the biggy: gratitude.

Can you say thank you for the shitty stuff as well as the shiny stuff? All has purpose on the path you choose. Lessons come in countless forms and further down the road to your dream you will be able to look back and see the service that even the toughest excursion brought to you… patterns dancing in a perfect formation only truly visible from God’s eye view. If you detach from the drama just long enough to see the kaleidoscope of colour, you will know the true worth of every experience and gratitude will follow. To be grateful ahead of understanding takes real faith… and everyday it will be tested, but at the end of this leg of the journey…

You will transform from being pregnant with possibilities to giving birth to a miracle. Your miracle.

Go on, I challenge you to become a dream maker!

This challenge contains aspects of Principles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7! The 7 Principles of The Wholly Grail are free to read on the website.

Undesirable Ingredients

It takes a whole host of specially selected ingredients to refine your life into the story of peace and joy you are looking for. Ingredients like compassion, tolerance, patience, generosity and gratitude… but what strikes me even more deeply today is what you must leave out.

There are a so many contributing factors that can steal the contents of your personal Grail leaving you in a state of emotional turmoil or at the very least unrest, and all of these undesirable ingredients are based around how you view yourself in relation to everything else going on around you.

Confidence is a word that invokes an image of cockiness or arrogance but it’s true meaning is much more to do with recognising your worth… when you take self-doubt, guilt, comparison, jealousy, (and maybe even the seven deadly sins) out of the equation, and replace them with one simple alternative: faith, everything starts to transform back into its natural beautiful flow.

I’m not talking about faith in something outside of yourself, I’m referring to faith in yourself, faith in your ability to survive any and all shifts and bumps that life will throw your way… and I say “will” because it’s inevitable with so many moving parts, sooner or later one of those parts will roll your way and either become an asset or a trip hazard and when it does you can view it with absolute faith that the challenge is for your highest good or you can break under the pressure of self-doubt.

I’m opting for confidence this week… I’m pulling out my mixing bowl, selecting my optimal ingredients and blow me if I don’t create cake!

Principle 1 is going remind you who you are and what you’re worth…

Principle 2 is going to release you from your fear of any outcomes…

Principle 7 is going to ensure the bi-directional flow of love which is all you need for a perpetually overflowing Grail cup.

Endless Playtime

August Bank Holiday in the UK is traditionally the last fling at hedonistic abandon for kids of all ages before September arrives and with it that call back to school… I’m no exception to the rule. Embracing the inner child seems to be the theme for me at the moment as I go deeper down the rabbit hole into the light filled kingdom of bliss.

It’s a weird and long overdue sensation this hugely overflowing Grail cup that I’m currently not only drinking from but actually appear to be swimming in, and its a feeling that were I able to furnish you with it via this technological transmission, I would happily dump a mountain of blessings in your lap… and that’s the key. I learned as a little girl (and again just yesterday in fact), sharing the love, the joy, the endless playtime, goes a huge way towards centering your focus on this never-ending moment… and who wouldn’t appreciate a never-ending internal summer?

Whilst this bank holiday may be a day off for many, I’m not suggesting that irresponsibility become your way of life, I’m simply wishing for you the curiosity of a child’s spirit in everything you do… may your life, work, health and relationships be an endless playtime that you too may share wherever you go and with whomever you meet.

Principle 2: I AM Detached

Greet The Sun

Did you choose how to greet the day today?

Our experience moment to moment, day to day can appear to be one of only two things: living or life happening to you.

If you are currently in a state of disempowerment then the chances are that life is happening to you and fooling yourself into believing that you have no say in the matter will only magnify the feeling. Whilst it is true to say that there are a multitude of events and circumstances that are happening around us without our apparent input such as the sun came up this morning, your outlook at that miraculous occurrence will be the judge of your experience…

Did you greet the sun upon waking with a groan that indeed you were being forced to participate in another round of “a day in the life of…” or did you decide that with that sunrise came an opportunity to make a real difference in your life, in the lives of others?

You may think that making a shift between these two states is the equivalent of personality surgery or that something would need to drastically change in order for you to feel positive about a Monday morning and you would be right, something would need to change: You! You would need to be that change, make that change and recognise that waiting for life to change around you is as disempowering as it gets. If you are waiting for the universe to serve you a miracle then you need to know that the universe is encouraging you to become the miracle.

Start by one small internal shift, just one: instead of yearning for all the things you don’t have, feeling disappointed, celebrate all the things that you do have by showing them some genuine love.

Everything that exists in your life right now is your creation, whether you actively participated in its creation or sat back and complained without intervention… it’s all yours so start loving it… and watch how much life starts to love you back.

Gratitude is the key to a beautiful life.

The Guilty Party

Grail Oracle 3Grail Oracle Yellow

I can’t believe I pulled this exact combination just two weeks ago in The Ego’s Trap! Persistent energy shows an unresolved dynamic and so let’s delve a little deeper into this combo…

Once again Principle 3: I AM Human jockeys with the yellow energy of the solar plexus chakra in a bid to create fear or cheer. The Guilty Party forces us to look at our failures and fears, our inmate human fallibility with compassion and forgiveness, but often before we arrive at those 5th dimensional qualities of grace we have to explore lower vibrations like shame and guilt to name just a couple. These judgements we make about our mistakes are often confused with the truth of who we are and we begin to see ourselves as the action, for example: “I am a failure” rather than “I have failed.”

This week you are being asked to take a leap into a familiar feeling potential-for-failure type situation but this time you are being asked to replace your fearful and self-accusatory thoughts with positive affirmations in order to short circuit what must have at some point felt like a losing streak.

Remember that when you walk into a room, no matter how many times you’ve been through that very same door, this time, with a positive outlook you could attract the successful greeting that you have been hoping for. You alone have the power to determine your success or failure and it begins with self-belief.

I believe in you.
