Take Care of The Scary Bits

So much has changed. Where you were a year ago is so very different from where you are now even if the geographical location is the same… life isn’t static, every choice you make dredges up a whole new raft of circumstances and inevitably even more choices to the point where nothing of the old life remains except as a memory.

All that being said, now is a good time for re-evaluation. You had a goal and recently I spoke of that goal being brought back to the forefront of your mind in order that you might take another crack at it… but is it still appropriate?

Perhaps the destination is but you are so far off the beaten track that another route would be preferable? A bit like when you take a wrong turn and your sat nav recalculates, sometimes it guides you back to the original route plan and sometimes it aborts that one and finds another. You have to decide on that now… but which is it to be?

A true Grail Knight has to weigh up the pros and cons of the journey to be undertaken, but here’s the thing: trajectory is calculated from where you’ve been not where you’re going, simply because we have no real idea what the future holds. This is where history plays its part and the only legitimate time that you can wander outside of the present without allowing yourself to become entangled in a place you don’t belong anymore… the past. It holds the key to unlock the door to your future, but how?

Looking back objectively you can discern patterns of success and of failure, joy and pain and you can also see what skills, talents and Principles you applied (or failed to apply) in each case. More importantly you can see where your decisions were fuelled by love or by fear. Using this strategy you then create a journey planner towards the intended outcome including the most soul enhancing choices and leaving room for divine intervention every step of the way.

My new life direction was chosen by applying love to areas where I had previously allowed fear to dictate my course and by letting God take care of the scary bits. It’s become a proper adventure!

Wishing you a day of life affirming journey planning, may it be guided always by love.

Detach, Define and Dance

Today apparently is the exact centre of the year with the same number of days behind us as there are in front. It’s as though we’ve reached a pivotal point, literally, a balance point or natural turn. Usually that turn occurs on the solstice but as we use a calendar that merely tips a nod to the natural solstices and equinoxes and have done for centuries, our internal clocks are somewhat misaligned. No matter, we work with what we’ve got.

The days leading up to this non-celebrated event have been poignant for me as I’ve subconsciously reset my own personal targets and shifted gear to ensure I’m on track with personal goals and agendas… they in fact have been refined or even redefined as I’ve set about questioning the “why” in each case. The why is the platform on which we build a dream, it’s the driving force behind every action and its the compass keeping us on track. My why has shifted after some deep internal work, liberating me from a multitude of doubts and fears, my “I want this” has become “If God wants it for me it will come to pass.” The results have been miraculous so far, at least in my whole attitude and level of internal peace… God, it seems, has gone all out to get me what I want just simply because I let Him.

If you’ve read some of “the pear” posts over the last week you’ll know that my life goal has been waved in front of my eyes for me to turn my attention to bringing it to fruition now, and when life reminds you you have a looming deadline, like hitting the halfway point in the year when your natural tendency is think “Shit! The year’s half done,” then internal panic could set in pretty darn quickly. Negative statements like: I’m never gonna achieve this, could cripple you into inaction and even depression if you allow the fear to creep in but there’s an alternative that involves recognising that you just cannot do this alone…

Letting go and letting God is a terrifying notion when you’re a control freak but once you actually get the hang of Principle 2: I AM Detached, the whole process becomes a dance with angels as they lift you up and carry you to each desired check point along the road to the goal. When you open up a dialog with Source energy and confirm your wish and your why, if the wish is for your highest good and the why is a noble one then your path will be filled with synchronicities that make you wonder why you ever doubted in the first place…. you were just focused in the wrong direction.

In the last couple of weeks, life has had its ups and downs, my home is in turmoil with building work going on, my work schedule has gone to pot along with it, but do you know what? I feel content that all that is happening around me but none of it is happening to me…. I AM Detached. My plans are moving along at a steady pace and fun is happening as standard.

The year may be half over, but there’s still half left… detach, define and dance your way with angels to your desired destination.

God’s in charge of the journey… so let Him be.

E is for…

th (1)

Exit apparently! No, seriously, E is for… exploration.

After we touched on the subject of Principle 6: I AM Self-Full and the readjustment of focus back towards your own major life goals in the last couple of posts, and particularly the need to prepare yourself for the task ahead regardless of the potential future obstacles that you may encounter that you have no control over, it’s now time to look at the pear (the goal), in fact the whole pear tree from a different angle.

Exploration in this case is about seeking out what feels right for you and indeed understanding what your options are. What’s right for you… again a Self-Full not selfish action. Fulfilling one’s own needs and emotional, spiritual and physical requirements isn’t about being independent its about being autonomous and responsible for at least your own part in your life story (I say your part because your life story is far from devoid of other characters) but if you reach the end and you didn’t at least do everything you could to reach your goals then you will leave this life with regrets, and how sad would that be? So first define your “pear,” (the goal) then prepare yourself in mind, body and spirit for the journey towards it and then start the exploration of options.

If your pear was Mount Everest, or reaching it’s summit, you would first have to consider how you’d like to climb it, right? There are many paths to climb a mountain and Everest had more than one face. Sure, people are going to tell you, your unorthodox choice is impossible and you should settle for a tried and tested route but will that be the best route for YOU? You’re going to have to choose a guide. Some look better than others, some have more ornate base camps, flashy stationery and better insurance, but the old local guy in the furs has lived with the mountain his entire life so ask yourself what the goal is again: is it to get to the top of the mountain or to ensure your family get a good pay out when you fall off or get crushed under an avalanche?… Oh yes, get to the top of the mountain, (and safely back down of course). So explore your options and ensure you choose those options through love and not fear, through passion for the project. Whatever your pear may actually represent, there is a reason it grew upon your tree and to allow that fruit to rot or become windfall because somebody else’s dream or goal got in the way or because you were too afraid to try would be tragic.

P is for Preparation. Your preparation can continue through this process as now you have more specific information and can tailor and hone the physical prep.

E is for Exploration…

Be Self-Full today and I’ll back on Monday with the next instalment, meanwhile tomorrow is Oracle day so look out for that post.
