Difficult decisions can only be made once you understand what motivates your choices.
We make arrangements, agreements, commitments spoken and unspoken, we fulfil responsibilities and obligations that these contracts, conscious and unconscious bring with them, but do we actually understand and honour the most sacred contract there is? That is the one we have to ourselves.
This week’s oracle teams up Principle 6: I AM Self-Full, with the emerald green of the heart chakra to highlight for us this fundamental and yet often neglected vow of taking care of our own needs.
Ask yourself as you step into the week ahead who you are doing it for? Who you get out of bed for, go to work for, cook for, make yourself beautiful for? Ask who you cry for, smile for, yearn for and strive for? You will come up with many answers from your kids to your boss to your clients to your lover to your dog… but the ultimate truth is you do it for you.
Your kids bring you joy, love, a sense of continuity and even immortality. Your boss is just the guy or girl that pays the wages that fund your lifestyle. Your clients’ happiness gives you a sense of fulfilment and purpose. Your lover makes you feel special (hopefully), provides physical attention and acts a mirror to your hopes, dreams and aspirations, as well as fulfilling your need for connection and companionship and that urge to pair off that dates back to Adam and Eve, and was fortified by Noah’s deliberate loading strategy for his big wooden boat thing. Your dog… well who knows why we humans are so attached to four-legged furry things but it’s mostly because they love you unconditionally for who you are no matter how shit your hair looks or whether you’re a flatulent toad in your down time. At the route of every obligation, contract or commitment is the fact that it benefits YOU!
Now that we’ve cleared that up, give yourself a little while to let it percolate and come at this oracle afresh.
Self-Full Living is the art of providing for one’s own needs. You either do it consciously or unconsciously.
The heart chakra is the centre of balance in the energy system, it’s the healing heart where unconditional love comes from, it provides a safe space in which to exist, that’s what it means to hold someone in your heart, you give them a space to heal, to be whole. Now imagine for a moment that you are the person you are holding within that centre of life affirming, healing love… everything you do this week must be about you so take that temporary time out, let it breathe (whatever it is) whilst you have a word with yourself about your motives.
Commitment is an all or nothing deal. Fear is the enemy of commitment. Maybe, you’re afraid of losing? Maybe you’re afraid of winning? Maybe you’re afraid of losing yourself in the vastness of a love so deep and so powerful that it consumes you? But it’s your love… The love you lavish upon yourself. Whatever you pour it into, whoever you pour it into, you ultimately are pouring into yourself. Do you love yourself enough to give life and love your best shot?
Take the time, make the space, and then asked the question…
Am I all in?
Because if you’re not all in, you’re out.
More next week… x
Take a few moments to breathe deeply.
Place your hands over your heart chakra, not your physical heart but the centre of your sternum. Left hand first, right hand on top… and breathe.
You can do this sitting, standing, lying in bed, it doesn’t matter but I prefer standing with feet slightly apart, this helps to bring the chakras in line and has you making a solid connection with the ground through the soles of your feet.
As you’re breathing in through your nose, out through your mouth, say in your mind the following:
“In the name of God (or Source if you prefer) and all that it light, I call upon the Archangels to join my here in this space. I call upon Archangel Michael, Archangel Azrael, Archangel Uriel and Archangel Raphael. I call upon the Archangel’s Gabriel, Zadkiel and Chamuel to surround me as I pray…”
Remember to breathe.
As you visualise these mighty beings forming a circle round you, continue:
“…I ask that these seven mighty angels stand as pillars of light, anchoring a temple of illumination around me and within this sacred temple I invoke a Field of Grace. May grace surround and protect me, may it penetrate every cell of my being, cleansing, healing and restoring me back to the divine blueprint for my highest potential…”
See yourself being sent a stream of golden light from above and a golden chalice hovering about eight inches above your crown being filled with this golden stream of light until it overflows and showers down through your chakras and over your aura, spilling out towards the Archangels. Let them amplify the golden light and as they reflect it back to you from their hearts see it transform into rose-gold light. Remove you hands from your heart chakra and allow the field of grace to fill it.
Energy flows to you, through and from you and you are now a conduit for grace.
“…As grace flows to me, through me and from me, all those whom I connect with, all those whom I come into contact with through this day, shall be blessed by, healed by, calmed by, and brought peace by this grace. I AM Grace. I channel grace and vow to be grace throughout this day. And so it is, and so it will be.”
Always begin with your heart. Your heart holds the key to this whole process… and that’s a powerful team you just called in.
Hope you enjoyed that little angelic visualisation. May your day be filled with grace, may you be surrounded by angels and may you be a conduit for miracles.

Everybody deals with emotional trauma in a different way. My immune system shuts down and become susceptible to illness… but it’s not my permanent or preferred place of residence.
I wanted to take this opportunity to guide you through healing from experiencing an internal revolution, that on the surface at least, can manifest as physical health issues.
Principle 6: I AM Self-Full is the way back to vitality whenever your health is compromised physically, emotionally or even spiritually and begins with a very basic premise: “me first.”
Untie all the commitments, promises, deadlines, self-imposed pressures and superfluous tasks and get busy with what’s really important… healing. Feeling better. Nurturing your mind, body and spirit on every level.
Start with rest, complete rest. It doesn’t mean you have to take to your bed, rest can be simply snuggling by the fire with a good book, relaxing in a bubble bath or such like. Next comes nourishment. Healing from the inside out means feeding your body healing foods, foods filled with life force that are fresh and pure. Don’t forget the life giving elixir that is clean water either, your vital organs need to detox from the flood of poisons that brought you to this state.
Now you must purify what is feeding your mind. The external world can be detrimental to the sensitive empath when your system is overloaded so now is the perfect opportunity to detox your information intake: If at all possible you should unplug from the digital hive mind altogether and instead read an uplifting book or two. Doing a digital detox can also be effective if you de-clutter your feeds and bookmarks, for example you might unsubscribe from anything and anyone that causes you more stress, unfollow and unfriend any negative influences and choose new ones whose inspiration supports your healing path.
Then you need to be honest with those around you. Principle 4: I AM Truth is a powerful reclamation of Self. Just by stating “this is where I am and this is what I need” can go a long way towards releasing what’s draining you… you don’t always have to be the one with the answers, you don’t have to be the glue that holds society together… doesn’t it already feel so much better knowing that the only thing that you have to fix right now is you?
And now stretch… Yoga, Pilates, something gentle. A walk (when you’re ready) and then breathe… reconnect with nature, even if it’s just pottering in the garden. And create, be it art, music, poetry, baking a masterpiece… maybe even a vision board of your most beautiful dream, we all need to express our creative inner muse, so do that too.
Whatever you need to do to come back to you, that’s your only job to survive the alchemical side effects of the revolution as you recuperate and prepare for the next leg of the quest. That’s where I’m at.

N.B. Always consult your GP/Physician with regards to any health concerns you may have.
It’s easy to lose sight of the path when you get lost in the details.
After hitting a brick wall career-wise about 4 years ago and not really knowing which direction I wanted to go in, I set about analysing what caused me to crash into that wall in the first place. It was simple: I was so focused on the details of what I needed to achieve that I forgot what I loved doing and why I started doing it to begin with.
I stepped out of a personal and professional prison in 2008 to build myself a new one in 2009 until I unlocked the door and let myself out less than a year later and began to soar… then came the opportunity to expand and in the process I built myself yet another set of metaphorical walls that I did somersaults to maintain until the back end of 2012 when it almost broke me… 6 months after defining The Wholly Grail, my cup was empty and I knew it.
The process of stripping away the tendency to build walls has not been an easy one because along with it came the fear of building anything at all, so instead I subconsciously devised a little Cha cha cha that took me one step forward, two steps back, to the side, together, other side, together… begin again. My ego doing battle with my soul until I understood what it was I was truly trying to create… A Festival of Freedom!
I say a festival because what I truly want is to feel joyous, abundant, healthy, happy, fulfilled every single day. Life is supposed to be fun! But I was caught up in the details and what I needed to do to achieve them.
Today, I’m inspired by what happens when passion returns. What can be achieved when you embrace your true loves and inspirations, the things that make your soul sing. They never left, they were simply buried under a mountain of details and when you remember your gifts are deeply connected to your passions you come alive and the universe shows you the path again… the one without walls.
Four years of self-healing using the Grail makes me an expert and as an expert, I know how fragile it can be without vigilance and due diligence. Principle 2: I AM Detached is the way through the details and Principle 5: I AM Liberated dismantles the prisons. It’s my least mentioned Principle in written form because it’s my own greatest healing journey.
Due diligence means doing the work… if you would like to journey into Self and set yourself free with guidance from the expert then check out The Path of Petals training course here or book a Grail Consultation here.
I’ve had a weird few weeks. Struck down by a pretty persistent chest infection about 3 weeks ago, I set about putting myself first in an effort to take my own Grail advice and embrace Principle 6: I AM Self-Full, the art of self-care. Being a healer, quite often we forget to do the work on ourselves and where our instincts when someone else is ill are sharp, under the spell of our personal infirmity we are quick to lose sight of the healing power for which we are natural channels.
All that being said, I invested in some cough medicine for a chesty cough… (have you ever noticed how many types of cough they sell medicine for? I don’t bloody know if it’s a dry cough, a chesty cough, a mucus cough or a bloody skydiving hedgehogs cough… I just need cough medicine)!!! Anyway, The last thing I need is to be half asleep as well as barking like a dog so a non-drowsy formula was the order of the day… I haven’t slept a night since.
Arriving just prior to the newly nicknamed “frazzle moon” that I mentioned last week, disturbed sleep patterns were shunted into overdrive when a stream of near insanity driven dreams began to crop up, fielding a very abstract view of the current state of my life. Anyone else think I might be out of balance?
Out of balance is a concept that is often bandied around the MBS network, but what does it actually mean?
In Grail terms its a simple description of the 2-way flow of energy embraced by Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted, meaning to give and receive in equal measure. We assume this to be about giving and receiving between people but not so… take everyone else out of the equation for a moment and come back to Principle 6, being Self-Full, how much have you given back to yourself this year? Think in terms of appreciation, gratitude, admiration, time off from external stresses. Think about the flow of energy between you and your Source, service balanced with meditation and rest for example.
Being Open-Hearted is a symbol of flow. Like the physical heart whose valves take in life blood and pump out life blood in equal measure, so too are you supposed to allow energy and life itself to follow this same path… like inhaling and exhaling.
For a short while I’m in the process of inhaling, the art of self care is the ability to receive what you need from the universe before you begin to exhale and give back. The season of good will doesn’t exclude you, make sure you’re being good to yourself.
To all my friends who are feeling under the weather at present, my present to you is simply to tell you that you don’t need permission to take a breath.

I’m a firm believer that its never too late to make a change or make a difference. That being said, intention is the first contributing factor in determining how effective that change will be, for example: a desire to win at the expense of another is less noble than a desire to help them achieve, but in terms of the outcome its the power behind the intention that drives the measure of success… in other words the motivation. To be honest the universe is neutral and will go all out to get you the outcome you’re focused on whether it be Self-Full or selfish, benevolent or malevolent. This post isn’t about making a judgement it’s about opening a doorway to your own transformation.
Imagine then that you have been half-heartedly telling yourself for years that there is something that you want, something that would, for the sake of this example, make your life so much easier, happier, healthier. Now take a look at the motivation behind you wanting to make that change… the phrase “half-heartedly” should offer a clue at the potential for your success when compared to the motivation behind continuing on as you are. Sure easier, happier and healthier sound nice but I’m doing ok, right? Now imagine for a second that all of a sudden you’re not doing ok…
Let’s say your health fails (God forbid). Now let’s say that, had you made those changes years ago, like you said you wanted to, you wouldn’t be facing the problems, however minor or major, now… again, no judgments just opening a doorway to your own transformation. We can’t go back and avoid the issues but now we have a choice: make the changes to repair or alleviate some of the damage thus drastically improving the prognosis or have a pity party and decide that the damage is already done so what’s the point? Whichever of these you decide, this neutral universe will match your vibration and go all out to bring your intention into reality multiplied by the power of your motivation.
It’s the same with mending anything, from the human body to relationships, from a broken vase to a car engine… remedial work can save, restore, improve and prolong the life of anything if the intention is there and the motivation is strong.
Ask yourself 3 questions today:
What do I need to change?
Why do I need to change it?
When will tomorrow be too late?
We just took a spin round Principle 6: I AM Self-Full.

Shaking the proverbial cup causes its contents to swirl about and even splash over the rim, whereas kicking it over obviously would cause its precious elixir to spill out all over and evaporate before your eyes. Sudden shock, unsavoury surprise or trauma is the equivalent of giving the Grail a good kick and in essence prolonged low level worry and fearful thought is tantamount to shaking the cup.
Both are detrimental to mind, body and spirit.
Only when you translate what the actual contents equate to can you begin to understand what is being allowed to escape from your everyday experience… This sacred vessel is a container for peace, for joy, abundance, happiness and for health.
Stress, worry, fear and prolonged negativity are all thieves of those precious qualities that make the journey easy and enjoyable. Health is the final gift to be stolen from the cup. When this occurs it becomes evident just how long you have been shaking the Grail or how hard you kicked it, and with the exception of fated experience (challenges destined for you to overcome), ill health is a sign that you have for too long being ignoring how many of the other sacred contents have been missing from your life.
Principle 6: I AM Self-Full is the first step in the journey back to health, joy, happiness and abundance, and it’s a step you can take today no matter where you are on the path and what the condition of The Wholly Grail. Turn that cup back the right way up and begin to fill it for yourself… not with more worry about the state you may or may not be in but with gratitude that you are still here to do something about it. Start small: bubble bath; healthy, delicious and nutritious food; gentle exercise; hydration; fresh air; meditation and prayer and proper rest… non of that is radical but it’s all essential.
Now off you go and enjoy Halloween… try not to put more strain on that nervous system by scaring yourself stupid though.

This week’s oracle sees the union of Principle 6 with the bright yellow of the solar plexus chakra.
It’s hard to find your way back from fear but that’s exactly what this week is bringing for you, though don’t be fooled into thinking that it won’t take work on your part. Recently you have found yourself dealing with one hard knock after another and at such times it’s easy to give into pessimism and negativity but like attracts like and kindling your inner magical child, the one who believes anything is possible will help you to take the first step into the slipstream back to your happy place.
The oracle is not portraying so much a time of celebration coming to you, more that you should consciously search for things to celebrate thus transforming fear into bliss. This week is an opportune time to break out of the everyday routine and find something fun to do. The idea of Self-Full Living is to reconnect with your own needs and make sure you do something, however simple to fulfil them. Socialise with friends, play, sing, and even surround yourself with the colour yellow to boost your natural sunny disposition.
I should also mention that when Principle 6 shows up its important to look at your physical health and where you might be in need of reconnecting with your body. As the solar plexus is primarily centred around your stomach, I want to draw your attention to your diet and eating habits… have you been comfort eating through a stressful period? Now is a good time to switch to a more life affirming, nutritious repertoire and be conscious of putting only health enhancing foods in your mouth… it may be too soon for a full on detox as the storm has not yet completely past but you can make a good start so that you don’t create a new set of issues to deal with.
So then: clean food, fun, optimism on purpose and an intention to find your way back to you.
You are worth the effort… I know this because an angel told me so.
More next week… x
There are times along the path that you feel like you’ve completely lost your way. Times when something or someone has such a profound affect upon you that you become disoriented because the inner compass you rely on for direction is spinning with emotion and true north fades to a distant memory, lost among the turmoil of inner thoughts and processes.
How does a Grail Knight deal with heartbreak?
Many years ago I was introduced to my shamanic power animal, Mother Jaguar, a beautiful velvety black big cat with emerald green eyes. Her job is to walk as my constant companion… I was told that if I ever lost the path I should look to her, where I should go she would follow, if I didn’t know the next step she would lead and if I ever completely lost the way I should retrace my steps back to see where she was waiting patiently and there would be the point where I took a wrong turn, so that I may choose differently.
So ok, that’s how I find my way back to the original plan, the path as it were was simply constructed from a series of hopes and dreams and the individual joyful steps towards creating/achieving said hopes and dreams… but that doesn’t answer the question of how a Grail Knight deals with heart break does it?
You leaving the path is one thing but supposing one of the requisite parts of your plan (or your hopes and dreams) leaves the path instead? Suddenly your path becomes unbalanced, lonely, treacherous even. You cannot visualise how the dream can come to fruition without that significant cog in the machine playing its role the way you hoped it would… now the goal itself looks like a lesser version of itself and you’re not sure you even want to pursue it… in extreme cases it might be the case that you have no inclination towards pursuing any dream at all, such is the blow, the loss… but that’s what happens when you presume to understand the finer details of manifestation, the details that only The Divine Orchestrater has any real power over…
The heartbreak is a result of attachment, the blatant disregard for Principle 2: I AM Detached and its lessons in being present and not projecting into the future, but this isn’t a lesson in “I told you so” it’s a lesson in healing…
A Grail Knight feels pain simply because a Grail Knight is human, like all other humans. Heartbreak has to be felt, processed, worked through. Principle 3: I AM Human isn’t a “get out of jail free card”, it’s a genuine vessel of grace, forgiveness and compassion offering a place of respite when we get it wrong. A place to heal without recrimination or self judgement and a place in which all parties are free.
So what is a Grail Knight’s guide to handling heartbreak?
Breathe. This too shall pass and the sun will rise again tomorrow. Take off the armour for now and surrender to what is… the why changes nothing, don’t search for it. Should the cog decide to rejoin the path at a later juncture, leave the door open for in that lives the essence of an open heart. And if by some miracle this is the case then the why can be explored to ensure open communication can recommence embracing “I AM Truth.”
I found Mother Jaguar sitting way back at a crossroads…”This is a really nice place to sit and wait” so here I’ll take off my armour, sit and breathe, heal, perhaps shed a few tears, surrender and wait for Divine Direction on the next step.
I AM Human.
More later… (maybe, if it’s still the path) x
