Find Peace In The Present & Increase Faith In The Path

I know you are wondering how this will all turn out, like the rest of us at the moment. I’m not surprised this combination about the need to find peace in the present & increase faith in the path came out of The Intuitive Chalice Oracle for the month ahead.

When the 2nd Principle of the Grail: “I AM Detached,” teams up with the calming violet of the Crown Chakra, we are being asked to remember that this moment holds so much power.

Our ability to connect to higher wisdom and consciousness is paramount to create the outcome that we want but will not be controlled by the ego mind.

Unfortunately, in it’s negative element, this combination can also suggest that we are being persuaded by the collective consciousness, into a mindset that can be detrimental to that calm and peaceful resolution we are seeking.

Find peace in the present

Depending on your situation right now, whether you are solitary or holed-up with your family, will have an enormous baring on your state of mind. If your surroundings are not comfortable or there is no escape from the noise and opinions of others, then this is going to be a particularly difficult time to find the space you need to go within and go higher, through practices like meditation, yoga or breathwork. Similarly if you are you are isolated from others entirely, too much alone time thinking and even browsing social media can create loops within the mind that get stuck on playback and don’t allow you to dissengage from the chatter.

Being present requires a balance of introversion and extroversion, so now is the time, if you haven’t done so already, to create designated space in your home and schedule to do both.

Can you create family time that involves games, dancing and singing? Can you incorporate preparing meals and household tasks as a team sport or competition? Then, at the opposite end of the spectrum, can you designate quiet time where you all go to your designated spaces/rooms for introspection and make that media-free… reading books, writing/journaling, meditation, learning new skills, working out, gardening etc. This could also be a good time for self-care and pampering.

Focus on gratitude to stay in the now

It is so easy to project into an unknown future and miss the beauty of what is surrounding us at the moment. It is just as easy to yearn for the routines you built for yourself that have been temporarily stripped away, but it is the beginning of peace to find the blessings in the current situation and speak aloud how grateful you are for them. Try incorporating this as a daily practice, not just for April but as a life commitment to train your mind to be focused on the gold hidden in every circumstance.

Increase faith in the path

As this is a spiritual oracle post, I’m going to make a wild assumption that you believe in a Higher Power and a Divine Plan. If that is the case, then consider this to be a test of faith and an opportunity to step into your soul’s care, with trust and surrender to what will be. Let go of the fearful thoughts that are fuelled by the mass media and the constant barrage of what is loosely termed “news” and instead, let your connection to the highest aspect of you steady your resolve and inform your every action from a place of love and optimism. Believe in the beauty of the path and that when you find peace in the present, you automatically increase your faith in your future.

Let’s begin this gratitude practice now… Let me know in the comments below: What 3 things you are most grateful for that bring you peace, that you might not have noticed before this began?

With Love, Jo xxx

Weekly Oracle – The Faith To Remain Faithful

Any time we see the crown chakra present itself in The Intuitive Chalice Oracle we know that deep spiritual questions are being presented to us. This deep violet energy centre that connects us to the Divine through devotion, meditation and prayer, equally connects the Divine directly to us in response through insight, higher wisdom and guidance. The Divine speaks through our dreams and inspiration, by tapping into the collective consciousness from which we have never actually been separated.

When we enter into conversation with this universal force also known as God, among many other names, we have an expectation of faith from God to cherish us as children and not forsake our supplication, i.e. we expect to be heard and answered. By this same token, there is a necessity to remain faithful that this prayerful activity will be heard and answered in the way Source deems fit. Faith and trust have to be mutual.

When Principle 7: I AM Open-Heated shows up in a reading alongside this energy, the Grail within you is questioning whether or not you have the faith to remain faithful. Open-Heartedness is the ability to give and receive in equal measure highlighting the universal laws of balance, karma and consequence. What we give out we receive. Effectively meaning if you have faith you will be given reason to stay faithful.

Don’t misunderstand the term faithful here… we are not talking about earthly sexual fidelity and monogamy, faith in this case is an act of grace: acceptance, allowing, patience, dedication and devotion to something much greater than you and the ability to continue to believe in the power of prayer.

Some people call it focused intention, manifestation, the law of attraction… it basically entails matching the frequency of the outcome you wish to engender… without wavering, losing hope or giving up. It also requires you to remain open and flexible as to how the answer shows up.

All that being said, do you have the faith to remain faithful?

Your prayers can truly be answered this week if you are open to receiving, hearing, responding, allowing, accepting… you just have to trust God to know when, where, how, who and what it is you really need now.

Spend some time in conscious communication with the Divine through meditation… He won’t let you down, only you can do that by giving up.

Weekly Oracle – The Fault In Our Thinking

There is a feeling of follow-up to last week’s oracle with this combination, almost like the universe wants you to course correct slightly to find a more direct path.

When Principle 3: I AM Human shows up in an oracle reading chances are a mistake has been made that requires adjustment and forgiveness. When you pair it with the deep indigo brow chakra then that mistake equals the fault in our thinking.

So last week I was talking about an old dream that was now beginning to show signs of being delivered. I also mentioned meeting God (or the manifestation you almost forgot you’d asked for) halfway across a symbolic bridge. The problem indicated this week is that you may be so focused on how far the object of your intention has come to meet you, that put all your power over there instead of right where you are.

Let me try to lay this out for you…

Yesterday in meditation, Archangel Michael asked me: “Where do you stand?” My first reaction was that I had no idea where I stood in relation to the goal but as he uttered again “What’s your position?” I realised that my position had nothing to do with where the outcome was.

Imagine that you want something in your life, say for example a soul mate relationship, (many of us can relate to that), well where you stand on the matter – your focus, your intention, your desired outcome, are all products of your own decisions and your ability to say: “This is what I want no matter what it takes or how long I have to keep believing.” The fault in our thinking is when we state: “I don’t know where I stand with you.” This implies that your position is in the hands of someone else’s whims… the actual issue is that you don’t know where they stand or whether this is a shared goal or outcome… but that is a whole different kettle of fish.

So then, this week it’s time to clarify your position, at least to yourself, about exactly where you stand and what your intentions are, whatever the subject matter.

Clear away any doubts and indecision, re-up the faith quota, forgive yourself for faltering and even temporarily giving away your power (and position) to outside influences. Get crystal clear in your intentions and practice constancy… and most of all remember the universe responds to focused instruction… just leave room for the form of the outcome to evolve.

When you know where you stand on that bridge, there is no fault in your thinking and God, in whatever form, knows exactly where to find you in His own good time.

I know where I stand on the matter, how about you? If you need help defining your position then why not book a one-to-one here?

Have a blessed week… x

Monday Moving Moment – Discovering The True Path

Two ancient and mythical villages, connected only by a treacherous mountain pass that was carved out over millennia by a now long gone crystal clear glacial stream, were kept apart not only by the distance between them, but by an outdated handed down tradition of separation. The villagers from each would gather together once weekly at an old shrine at the halfway point along the pass to trade goods and services vital for the survival of both.

Many generations had honoured this tradition and none had ever ventured passed the shrine towards the opposite village or even thought to question the unspoken treaty… until now.

For months, a boy from the southern village had witnessed the mesmerizing grace offered by a young girl from the northern village as they exchanged their wares and traded glances, coming to understand that their interactions were gradually becoming much more than commerce. She too had begun to understand that the stirrings within her heart had been born of something deeper than mere acquaintance. Each week as they individually prepared their baskets of produce to carry to shrine, their anticipation of meeting, of a passing smile or catching the other’s eye grew into passion and beyond into need.

After many months had gone by and stolen moments had been shared, the boy from the southern village began to ask questions of the tradition and treaty. “Why is it that we may never venture beyond the shrine?” “Why do our villages never blend beyond market day?” Nobody could offer him an appropriate answer to this age-old directive and so he took it upon himself to ask for divine guidance on the matter…

It wasn’t market day but he didn’t care, the shrine was surely built for more than just a trading post though no one could remember its true purpose either. He set off along the arduous path through the mountain pass determined to find answers at the shrine as to how he could break with tradition to win and be with his beloved.

At the shrine was an old man, sitting with his eyes closed in contemplation. He was bearded and carried a long stave of gnarled wood, his clothes were that of a beggar but his countenance that of a prince. The boy dared not speak to disturb this man’s peace but his presence had already been detected and without even opening his eyes the man spoke: “What is it you seek young man?”

Startled by the power in the old man’s voice, the boy lost his footing and fell hard on his backside. His pride wounded slightly more than his person he looked up to find the old man now wide-eyed and gently smiling, “What is it you seek?”

The boy began to relate the story of the split villages and his growing love for the girl in the northern village to the old man, ending his tale by conceding that no one knew why the shrine was built or why no one would venture beyond it from either direction.

The old man considered for a moment and then made a request of the boy: “Today I ask you to walk beyond the shrine just a few steps beyond where your eyes can currently see. No harm will come to you but once you discover what is just out of view, you must return to me here.” The boy agreed to do as the old man had requested and gingerly set off beyond the shrine…

Ten minutes later the boy returned to find the old man’s eyes tightly shut and patiently waited for the sage to speak. After a while the booming voice came: “What did you find just beyond your perception?” The boy was eager to recount that he had stumbled upon a second path and that he had no idea which path led to the northern village and his beloved or where indeed the the other would take him.

The sage thought for a moment and then offered guidance…

“One path is the path of unity and togetherness, the other is the path of solitude and independence. Both paths will lead you to the same place but that place is not where you are expecting to go. Both paths will offer you experience beyond your current comprehension, both will challenge you to your core, neither path will be easy nor will it be well trodden but each is signposted along the way if you know how to read the signs.” He concluded by asking: “Which path will you take?”

Confused, the boy asked “But if neither will take me where I expect to go, how then should I choose?”

The sage, whispering now, offered more guidance… “The true path you seek exists not beyond the shrine on a treacherous mountain pass towards an unknown village and the promise of romance, but within the heart of how you choose which one to walk. You see before you only two paths: unity or independence, but in truth there are four paths beyond the shrine.” More confused now, the boy protested the truth of what he had seen: “No sir, there are but two paths ahead, just beyond the ridge as far as the eye can see!”

“But you can walk either, one of two ways. You can walk the path in love and faith or you can walk the path in fear.”

The boy’s eyes widened as he listened.

“Your beloved awaits you on the path of unity but if you join her there because you are afraid to be alone, you will try to possess her and crush her spirit and you will end up alone anyway. If you join her on the path in love and faith you will be blessed on the adventure of a lifetime in co-creative service to a higher purpose…. If you choose to walk the path of independence through the fear of commitment to another, you will whither without cooperation or be crushed by those who would take your power.  If however, you walk the path of solitude with an open heart, others will come and go to mutually support you when you need and co-creative higher purpose though different, will still be the outcome of your adventure.”

At that moment, as the boy digested the wisdom he had received, the beautiful young girl from the northern village arrived at the shrine carrying bread and water… “Hello Grandfather, she said warmly handing the old sage her offerings, “How was your meditative solitude today?”

She smiled sweetly at the young boy she admired as she helped the old man stand and continued: “Which path shall we take home today?”

What about you? Which path will you take home?

EquinoX Marks The Spot

Some points during the annual rotation have more clout than others. I’m told its an astrological thing and that maybe so, but whatever the cause I’m poised to celebrate new doors opening as we step into a new season and this equinoX marks the spot.

Teaching a meditation and development class last night I was reminded that my life trots along nicely in 9 year cycles (as most people’s do) and as this is a “one year” in numerology, we all began the year with high hopes of dramatic relief from past struggles. On a personal level, from the date of my birth, I’m only just now approaching and flipping into my own 1 year.

Nine years ago this Autumn I left a well paid career to start my own business (in the middle of a recession)! Nine years before that I left home to claim my independence… and that is the main treasure for me: breaking free in Autumn at the start of the cycle to start something completely new as I enter the Spring of the following year.

What I want to point out though is that I didn’t plan any of those big moves. I hadn’t schemed and plotted my escape in either case, or even with the big changes that preceded the ones I mentioned. In every case I was presented with a moment of clarity, followed immediately with an opportunity, followed by an exit point… and then once I had already made the leap of faith and was freefalling without a chute did I start making a new plan.

On this treasure map of life when you stumble across the giant X it’s time to act. If your map is anything like mine, you’ll find it is written in invisible ink until you line up with the time and place for it’s secrets to be revealed.

Stay wide open for opportunities now because the year isn’t over and your personal destiny dial has it’s very own timeline. I’m excited to see what this cycle is bringing in for me (and I’m chucking my own plans out of the window because the Divine’s plan for me usually turns out to be so much more exciting).

First Monday Challenge – Being Pregnant With Possibilities

Not only is it the first Monday of the month, it’s also May and that must mean it’s Beltane. Being pregnant with possibilities seems like an appropriate subject, May Day being a celebration of fertility and all that, but it’s also following on from the theme of the weekend’s oracle… turning worrying about problems to creating solutions.

Positivity takes practice. When you place focused intent, determination and gratitude at the forefront of your mental agenda you become a manifestation machine. The quantum do-da’s of the universe deem it can be no other way… you are that powerful.

So while we’re attempting a challenge lets up the ante and make it three.

1. Focus your mind and become a dream maker

2. Bolster your resolve with determined action

3. Gratefully acknowledge every blessing.

So what is focused intent? Do you ever say to yourself “I want that,” only to hear your thoughts say “That’s impossible, it’s never going to happen”? Well, that’s the opposite of focused intent. Your conscious mind is for the intended outcome but your subconscious mind, the bit running the outdated programme is running interference on the plan… you are creating from your fearful, wounded perspective an internal error or battle of wills.

Uninstalling the faulty app is not so easy when the device in question is your own psyche so you are going to have to learn to override the programme… that means being super vigilant for a time until it becomes automatic. When the negative mantra pipes up “who are you trying to kid?” You are going to have to make a statement to the little voice that’s heckling from the side lines: “I hear you my friend, and for a time I even believed you knew what you were talking about but here’s the thing, the only thing that stands between us and the goal is you, I’m done listening… that thing I want, its not just achievable, it actually wants me to have it, achieve it, conquer it. It’s routing for me so why aren’t you? So for now, if you shout, I’m gonna shout louder. If you say tom-ay-toe I’m going to yell tom-ar-toe and one thing’s for certain… we will not be calling the whole thing off!”

Determined action is about committing to the process and actually following through. It’s no good arguing with the heckler if you just sit there and do nothing, All those possibilities, all those roads that lead to Rome, (Rome being just an analogy for the goal you’ve chosen, obviously), adventures to be had down every one of them, basically means that it doesn’t matter which route you take as long as you don’t give up and turn back at the first sign of trouble, because that would be akin to admitting to your inner heckler “Okay buddy, you were right all along.” Not going to happen, this is a challenge remember?

Then there’s the biggy: gratitude.

Can you say thank you for the shitty stuff as well as the shiny stuff? All has purpose on the path you choose. Lessons come in countless forms and further down the road to your dream you will be able to look back and see the service that even the toughest excursion brought to you… patterns dancing in a perfect formation only truly visible from God’s eye view. If you detach from the drama just long enough to see the kaleidoscope of colour, you will know the true worth of every experience and gratitude will follow. To be grateful ahead of understanding takes real faith… and everyday it will be tested, but at the end of this leg of the journey…

You will transform from being pregnant with possibilities to giving birth to a miracle. Your miracle.

Go on, I challenge you to become a dream maker!

This challenge contains aspects of Principles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7! The 7 Principles of The Wholly Grail are free to read on the website.

Tiptoe On A Knife Edge

Balance is in full focus today as we arrive at the Spring Equinox (autumn if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere) that seemed to creep up on us whilst we were occupied with everything and nothing. One of two points in the calendar where the light and the darkness share precisely the same amount of moments and we pivot towards a new dominance. As we tiptoe on a knife edge seasonally, so too do we have an emotional choice to make… do we favour the darkness or the light.

The oracle combination I pulled at the weekend mirrored this shift from healthy exploration into potential addition and sets the scene for this post. Though it appears at first glance to have a sinister undertone it is in fact an invitation to understand that within you exists that point of perfect balance, liminal space, neither light nor dark, just sublime equilibrium, a pause between breaths, when you are neither one thing nor the other and power runs through you without resistance or hindrance… and then trust, faith, belief and innocence give way to fear on this knife edge… fear of falling.

When you fear something you create it.

Where you had balance you resorted to your conditioned state of believing that you needed something to maintain it, that someone might try to take it from you and you must protect it. And in that moment you veer to the left or to the right and the sharp line you were treading begins to wobble as you flail about trying to regain your centre but falling at this stage is inevitable… just as surely as tomorrow the light, the daylight hours will gain ground in the north and the darkness or night will take back dominion over the south.

It’s a subtle shift, a tilt you may not notice at first, but opposing forces must continue to circle around each other so that the elaborate game of life goes on.

Take time to honour and notice the shift within. Whatever state you are moving from or to emotionally, physically, intellectually, geographically… what ever area of your personal experience is evolving, observe, respect and bless this point of transition.

Take a moment today to assess where you’re at. Don’t panic, don’t struggle, balance will be restored naturally when you relax and trust that you are exactly where you need to be. Principle 2: I AM Detached will help you stay present with what is and Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted allows giving and receiving in equal measure… or in other words: perfect balance.

Saturday Oracle – The Welcome Mat

Dealing with emotional pain is a very personal journey and there are no real rules on how to protect yourself from further assail, but there are common markers along the road to healing.

This week’s combination, bringing together a matching energetic set: Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted and the emerald green of the heart chakra, are highlighting a part of that process that is crucial to your forward journey.

You are being asked, as we step into a week containing a powerful new moon and a solar eclipse, to look at the walls you have furnished around your emotional centre as a result of recent tribulations and more poignantly, how those walls may affect new relationships.

Self-preservation is a serious business and hardwired into human circuitry, meaning any and all risks that follow pain, that may result in more of the same, are understandably cut off at the pass. The wounded heart certainly doesn’t roll out the welcome mat to would be assailants…

…But you’re being warned this week that you are seeing threats where there are friends and allies, and in searching for safe haven you may be creating a prison or isolation you won’t want to remain inside for long.

Love is being offered to you in more than one form in the days ahead. Do not be tempted to lock out the very thing you need because having been a victim of another’s character flaws forces you to become a victim of your own.

I AM Open-Hearted is the Principle of the true Grail Knight, the true hero who lets love be the guiding light in all interactions. You are being called to step into the light of absolute faith, trust and surrender to the highest power of all… nobody will blame you for being cautious, that’s your right, but you have the power within you to win. Nobody can put out your light, that is the Divine shining through you and it is inextinguishable.

New life is knocking at your door, the door to your heart… open up and give it a chance to prove it is worthy of touching heaven, because that what lives inside your love. Heaven.

Your Way Is Different

The path ahead is obscured by a hump in the road, a hill that is too high to see over and appears to fall away beyond its pinnacle. What lies ahead?

You chose this path because you believed in it, because although it never promised you easy, it did promise you adventure. It’s not for everyone… and there are those who will never understand why you continued along the way, skipped, ran, danced, sometimes crawled toward an unknown destination with no proof of where it might lead. They will question, they will doubt your sanity at times, they will even attempt to persuade you to change course or turn back completely… and there are times when your own inner-saboteur will hear them and side with their argument that this path isn’t for everyone. They all mean well, including that fearful voice inside your own mind… they love you enough to want protect you from an unidentified foe that threatens, in their eyes, to swallow you whole… but fear and love cannot coexist in the same space and so you must choose.

The path ahead is obscured, the hill is steep. Many stand behind you calling you back to a safer road, few encourage you on. Fewer still say nothing, choosing to believe not in the path but in you, sending only love to support you on the journey that you chose in spite of fear, knowing only love is real and that if the path ahead leads to nowhere then at the very least you walked all the way and you never gave up.

The thing about faith is: if it came with a guarantee, it would cease to exist as a concept.

Just because the crowd is going one way and you appear to be walking alone in the other, doesn’t automatically mean you’re going the wrong way… it may simply mean that your way is different.

Besides, where else do you need to be right now? Don’t doubt your own intuition, it brought you this far.

Principle 2: I AM Detached, and Principle 4: I AM Truth.

Ship Ahoy!

Conversing as I regularly do with God yesterday in meditation, His first question to me was “What did you do?” He’s more than used to me scuppering His plans and so having to recalculate an alternative route, so I’m sure He runs multiple scenarios before He even lets a doorway or new pathway open up to me… I, for the most part, enjoy making God’s existence more difficult… or is that my existence? It’s all the same as the highest version of me is God anyway.

So, what did I do? I yelled “Enough already!” to the apparent distractions that will never be any more than just that.

Imagine for a moment that you are sitting in a small rowing boat in the middle of a vast ocean when all of a sudden a storm hits… the little boat is thrashing about and the last wave washed away your oars leaving you vulnerable and in danger of drowning… in the distance is an ocean liner. This vast shiny white beacon of hope is trapping at speed and seemingly unperturbed by the angry sea, heading toward some far away port in the sunshine… and you need help…

Screaming (inside and out) and waving your arms in the air to get the captain’s attention, hoping desperately that he will take just a few minutes and a slight course correction to pull alongside your swiftly disintegrating dingy to ensure that you will survive the remains of the storm… and there he is… Ship ahoy!

Quickly the captain acts: retrieving his set of red flags he sets about waving back at you as his ship sails on by at speed… and what does this semaphore include? Wait for it, wait for it… the most efficient way to bail out a sinking boat! Thanks captain.

This is the moment where you have to think on your feet… do you: a) keep screaming and waving your arms wasting vital breath and resources or do you b) remember you know how to swim and use that energy and deep breath to dive in and take your chances with the ocean?

God asked me another question at this point: “What do you want?” Oh so many trivial responses arose and fell within that split second but then one thing stuck… “security and guarantees.” I knew my answer was the one thing life wasn’t designed to give me but I also knew this much: staying in the boat, trying to read semaphore while the ocean liner sailed by, I was guaranteed to drown… jumping overboard there was a slim chance I might make it to the shore before I ran out of breath… but the shore is in the opposite direction to the captain’s red flags and big shiny ship.

What did I do? I dived… of course I dived. So now I’ve gone from ship ahoy! to man overboard!… and the captain can wave his flags all he likes on the brand new topic of optimum techniques for breaststroke and how to increase lung capacity on the next in-breath so that drowning is postponed a little longer. It doesn’t make any difference when you’re focused fully on saving yourself from the next wave…

The ship moves faster than you do, if it doesn’t alter course it doesn’t matter, ultimately that’s the captain’s decision.

So me and Big G are sitting there in meditation and He’s neither surprised nor pissed at me for ballsing up His master plan, He’s just smiling gently recognising that the storm has subsided and the shore is so much closer than I know… That the ocean is in fact Him in disguise… and the shiny white ship is just as susceptible to the right kind of wave as my little boat is… and that the captain wafts his red flags about because to bring that liner up close and personal… if it capsizes… well, he doesn’t know how to swim yet.
