Decide The Outcome Now

When I first began teaching The Wholly Grail back in 2012 I had no idea where I wanted to take it or how it would even be received. In fact, for a long time I simply did as Spirit asked and hoped for the best. The clear message now though, is decide the outcome now.

We are living in strange times. The world outside seems to have been turned on its head and many of us are feeling like our way of life is under serious threat. It could give rise to feelings of despondency and fear or it could give rise to a new found determination to find a fresh way of being that supports our greatest hopes and our health & wellbeing whilst also supporting our planet. This choice to focus on the vision we want for ourselves is the undercurrent for all mankind but also for me and my work.

In the last week, whilst the madness ramped up outside, I finally took the decision to go all in on a long held dream and took a leap of faith into the void to see if the universe would catch me. I had to consider all the aspects of the Grail in order to step up to the edge then let go. This is what I decided:

  • I am worthy of it… in fact I am the only one that can achieve this, because it’s my dream.
  • Me learning to fly or fall are the universe’s job… I only had to decide to be brave enough to jump and spread my wings.
  • All of my past failures were fuel for my future success… but not if I couldn’t forgive myself and others for the pain.
  • It had to be all me if I was going to do it… what everyone else thinks is just their opinion.
  • I am prepared to give up what I have to have what I need… clinging to what feels safe is the death of creativity.
  • I’m taking full responsibility for my own happiness and growth… they are the key to my well-being.
  • When I go all in, I expect those I go all in with to go all in with me… no more accepting less than I’m worth

…which brings me back to the first Principle. That is what these statements are, The 7 Principles of The Grail and they are how I decide the outcome now of my future path.

My leap was a personal triumph, a spiritual calling and a sound business decision. For you it could be anything from your health and well-being to your relationships. When you are at the beginning of a new chapter in your life, you have to decide the outcome now because if you don’t, how will you steer your ship towards the beautiful horizon you are dreaming of?

What are your intentions for the week/month/year ahead? Love yourself enough to decide the outcome now… and then take the leap of faith into the ocean of potential.

Get in touch if you need the courage to go all in!

When you have no other choices

We always have a choice in reality, so the title feels somewhat misleading, but it isn’t meat to be. You have probably been to this place before, the place where all roads meet. This is the place where it feels like no matter what you do you cannot influence an outcome, and that destiny will deliver you wherever it has decided you need to be in order to set the universe back in balance. When you have no other choices it is time to surrender to what is. To be at one with where you are and to observe what life wants to show you next.

Being at home with the essence of powerlessness lends you the necessary strength to regain balance in the midst of transforming circumstances. It is not enough to give up control at moments like these, it is also necessary to give up any expectation of the destination or details associated with it that you may previously have held onto.

It feels counterintuitive to everything we have been taught about the law of attraction and the miracles of manifesting but the truth is that these things require a final sacrifice… The need to give up on the goal itself.

The vision most sacred to you is the thing you have to be fully prepared to let go of and honour your own happiness and wholeness in the absence of it, truly believing that you’ve put in the hard work, the commitment, the dedication and devotion to a singular consequence for as long as you could possibly hold on before it broke you… and then you let it go… let God take over the process entirely even if it means you never reach the goal.

The act of long term commitment changes you. You cannot help but grow from it, learn from it, it transforms you into a greater version of yourself as you explore every facet of faith along the way, but the final test faith is to set it and yourself free completely, and that comes when there is no more expansion to be had and no more avenues to be explored. This is the beginning of a new journey, a new dream and the beginning of a new devotion… the form of which will remain a mystery until destiny imparts it’s secrets as it will.

Principle 2: I AM Detached, allows you to break away from the self-imposed vision of the outcome you have tethered to and Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted, aids you in releasing what was and allowing what is or what might become. These two aspects of Grail wisdom situate you in the slipstream of miracles and help you recognise the beauty of this moment and all the gifts present within it.

When you have no other choices, it’s alright to let go. You’ve done enough.

Weekly Oracle – Nowhere Fast

Principle 4: I AM Truth has represented for the second week running, asking us to identify the authentic voice within. You may already be aware of the multiple choices being presented to you about the direction you should take at this time, each with a different voice arguing for its validity and even necessity. But only one truth will lead you to the outcome you desire: coming home to your heart.

The emerald green heart chakra is the point of balance within. The only part of you that keeps time with your soul and your purpose, it never loses sight of your goal. While all the other energy centres are swayed this way and that by incoming information, the heart remains neutral, ever present, and when open it allows for the bidirectional flow of universal love to fuel your desires. The heart is the compass that always points true north… but it’s so very quiet and not at all showy so it often gets drowned out by the neighbouring transmitters and receivers acting out the various forms of fear related information you have assimilated as truth.

The ego quashes the happy, playful, optimistic spirit with the fear of lack and loss and poverty, with the need to fit in and be somebody, the need to have an opinion that matters or a face that fits… or the right accessories or accent… to be seen as having the answers, being useful, blah blah blah… all of which comes from measuring where you stand against your expectations which aren’t your expectations in the first place, rather some societal cartoon of a life well lived. And all the while your heart is keeping your desire and your soul mission alive.

This week you are being asked to stop what you’re doing and recognise that you are actually going nowhere fast while ever you are ignoring the truth within your heart.

Unburden all that doesn’t serve your primary purpose and go towards your truth.

I know, some of you think you don’t know what it is, but you sure as hell know what it’s not! Don’t reach for short term gratification, your heart knows there is work to do and it knows that the fast and easy option is the distraction. Your heart knows that you will meet with resistance from external sources but it doesn’t fear rejection or humiliation because the prize for courage is freedom. Your heart will never give up on your purpose because it knows nothing else. Only when you resist your heart’s desire will it begin to give up on you… and that looks like grief, regret, despair and eventually physical illness and deterioration.

When your last day on Earth arrives, even if you never quite got there, let go completely knowing you never gave up on what you loved and you spent a full life chasing it, closing the gap, always expanding towards something that meant everything…

…or you could just keep going nowhere fast.

Saturday Oracle – Let It Become

The future is flowing towards you at a rate equal to that which you are flowing towards it. I have a simple prayer that I offer before I sleep each night as part of my own practice, it goes like this:

“Divine Father, As I fall asleep tonight, it is my intention to come and find you. Please meet me halfway. Amen.”

It implies that you only have to set off in the right direction, with the right intention and keep your heart and mind open to receive the signs that life is responding to your moves with moves of its own.

This week as Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted, the aspect of the Grail that handles flow, receptivity and reward teams up with the deep indigo of the 3rd eye chakra which encompasses vision, prophecy and the ability to process intellectual information, the disparate pieces of an old idea or plan come into focus and something that felt blocked and impossible, now shows signs of making strides towards you.

It may have been some time since you made your move, you may have even stopped trying in the time between its inception and the evidence now about to show up for you, thinking that your efforts had gone unmatched and unnoticed. The truth though was that the distance between where you began and your ultimate goal was so vast that the steep curve in the bridge between the two prevented you from seeing how far God had travelled from the other side to meet you on this issue.

Can you curb your frustration, your impatience and your previous disappointment enough now to allow the meeting in the middle to take place? It might have been years and you might have given up. You may have chalked up your old vision to the failure pile and settled for a scaled down version of your now less than perfect outcome… are you able now, even after giving up hope of ever fulfilling your dream, to let it become?

When these two energies reach out for each other the flow of events draw your requirements into alignment with your intentions. Just yesterday I was talking about focusing on the big picture and letting go of the details… it’s the Divine’s job to move the pieces into play at the perfect moment but now they are beginning to turn up its your job to refocus on the vision and make a decision: Do you want what you said you wanted and are you willing to commit to being its steward upon its arrival?

Being Open-Hearted is a responsibility… if you want to be a teacher you must teach responsibly, if you want to be a musician then you must commit to making music, if you want a relationship you must commit to being a gracious partner, in fact everything you want comes with a commitment.

If God is to meet you on the bridge of dreams this week with whatever you had almost forgotten you asked for, then you must face Him head on and vow to be receptive to the form in which its being delivered and to show gratitude by the way you commit to taking care of the gift.

There are still a few steps left to reach the halfway point and you will need to show you still want this miracle… step forward, open your arms and welcome Destiny on its own terms.

Let it become.

Monday Moving Moment – Discovering The True Path

Two ancient and mythical villages, connected only by a treacherous mountain pass that was carved out over millennia by a now long gone crystal clear glacial stream, were kept apart not only by the distance between them, but by an outdated handed down tradition of separation. The villagers from each would gather together once weekly at an old shrine at the halfway point along the pass to trade goods and services vital for the survival of both.

Many generations had honoured this tradition and none had ever ventured passed the shrine towards the opposite village or even thought to question the unspoken treaty… until now.

For months, a boy from the southern village had witnessed the mesmerizing grace offered by a young girl from the northern village as they exchanged their wares and traded glances, coming to understand that their interactions were gradually becoming much more than commerce. She too had begun to understand that the stirrings within her heart had been born of something deeper than mere acquaintance. Each week as they individually prepared their baskets of produce to carry to shrine, their anticipation of meeting, of a passing smile or catching the other’s eye grew into passion and beyond into need.

After many months had gone by and stolen moments had been shared, the boy from the southern village began to ask questions of the tradition and treaty. “Why is it that we may never venture beyond the shrine?” “Why do our villages never blend beyond market day?” Nobody could offer him an appropriate answer to this age-old directive and so he took it upon himself to ask for divine guidance on the matter…

It wasn’t market day but he didn’t care, the shrine was surely built for more than just a trading post though no one could remember its true purpose either. He set off along the arduous path through the mountain pass determined to find answers at the shrine as to how he could break with tradition to win and be with his beloved.

At the shrine was an old man, sitting with his eyes closed in contemplation. He was bearded and carried a long stave of gnarled wood, his clothes were that of a beggar but his countenance that of a prince. The boy dared not speak to disturb this man’s peace but his presence had already been detected and without even opening his eyes the man spoke: “What is it you seek young man?”

Startled by the power in the old man’s voice, the boy lost his footing and fell hard on his backside. His pride wounded slightly more than his person he looked up to find the old man now wide-eyed and gently smiling, “What is it you seek?”

The boy began to relate the story of the split villages and his growing love for the girl in the northern village to the old man, ending his tale by conceding that no one knew why the shrine was built or why no one would venture beyond it from either direction.

The old man considered for a moment and then made a request of the boy: “Today I ask you to walk beyond the shrine just a few steps beyond where your eyes can currently see. No harm will come to you but once you discover what is just out of view, you must return to me here.” The boy agreed to do as the old man had requested and gingerly set off beyond the shrine…

Ten minutes later the boy returned to find the old man’s eyes tightly shut and patiently waited for the sage to speak. After a while the booming voice came: “What did you find just beyond your perception?” The boy was eager to recount that he had stumbled upon a second path and that he had no idea which path led to the northern village and his beloved or where indeed the the other would take him.

The sage thought for a moment and then offered guidance…

“One path is the path of unity and togetherness, the other is the path of solitude and independence. Both paths will lead you to the same place but that place is not where you are expecting to go. Both paths will offer you experience beyond your current comprehension, both will challenge you to your core, neither path will be easy nor will it be well trodden but each is signposted along the way if you know how to read the signs.” He concluded by asking: “Which path will you take?”

Confused, the boy asked “But if neither will take me where I expect to go, how then should I choose?”

The sage, whispering now, offered more guidance… “The true path you seek exists not beyond the shrine on a treacherous mountain pass towards an unknown village and the promise of romance, but within the heart of how you choose which one to walk. You see before you only two paths: unity or independence, but in truth there are four paths beyond the shrine.” More confused now, the boy protested the truth of what he had seen: “No sir, there are but two paths ahead, just beyond the ridge as far as the eye can see!”

“But you can walk either, one of two ways. You can walk the path in love and faith or you can walk the path in fear.”

The boy’s eyes widened as he listened.

“Your beloved awaits you on the path of unity but if you join her there because you are afraid to be alone, you will try to possess her and crush her spirit and you will end up alone anyway. If you join her on the path in love and faith you will be blessed on the adventure of a lifetime in co-creative service to a higher purpose…. If you choose to walk the path of independence through the fear of commitment to another, you will whither without cooperation or be crushed by those who would take your power.  If however, you walk the path of solitude with an open heart, others will come and go to mutually support you when you need and co-creative higher purpose though different, will still be the outcome of your adventure.”

At that moment, as the boy digested the wisdom he had received, the beautiful young girl from the northern village arrived at the shrine carrying bread and water… “Hello Grandfather, she said warmly handing the old sage her offerings, “How was your meditative solitude today?”

She smiled sweetly at the young boy she admired as she helped the old man stand and continued: “Which path shall we take home today?”

What about you? Which path will you take home?

Principle 4: I AM Truth, Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted.

Conflict And Contradiction – A Glitch In The Matrix

Talking about manifesting the crystal clear vision you’ve created for yourself just beyond the veil as I was in Monday’s Challenge, I wanted to tackle another spanner in the works of bringing your dreams to life: conflict and contradiction in thought, word and deed.

If you want to slow down or even put a halt to creating your vision, the fastest way to dam up the flow and create a glitch in the matrix is to act contrary to your desire. Suppose you have created in your mind’s eye a perfect life for yourself, especially one that requires the cooperation of other people, needing them to want and visualise the same outcome. Now supposing in the moments where you mistakenly assume you are in control of the manifesting process (rather than The Source of All Things who of course has ultimate creative control on how the vision morphs into the realm of matter), and supposing in your limited capacity you have no idea how to move all the component parts and people into the necessary arrangement and alignment to pull off this multifaceted miracle… at times like this its easy to focus on a vision for which you do have control, for example one that doesn’t require the consent of outside parties to make progress.

Sure you can convince yourself that you are filling time, sure you can create something special, but that creation is always going to fall short of your true desire, leaving you feeling unfulfilled, discouraged and somewhat empty inside. That’s only half the story though: using up your creative energy producing a vision from the small self has not only blurred the original picture but has also depleted vital resources manifesting the mediocre instead of the magnificent… Besides, where did this bit fit in the original vision?

Desire is the creative fire in the universe. When you add focus and will, you cannot fail to fulfil destiny… destiny is the path which your soul is compelled to follow, but you have no control over the how, the when or the who. When you engage a desire, the universe is compelled to assemble your matrix for manifesting, but when you place your focus on a different outcome because your ego and your soul are in conflict, that’s where the building takes place leaving your desire in stasis until you choose to refocus in the main matrix again.

Since your creative fire is built-in to the soul’s drive for attainment, the inferior choice will become just that: inferior (in quality, success, etc) simply because your soul will be screaming “I don’t want this, I was born to become that over there.”

Wasted time, wasted energy, working against the Will of God, (which is always in alignment with the will of your soul: Principle 1). Where some cultures will tell you desire is bad, the truth is that desire is everything (only the attachment to it will get you into trouble: Principle 2).

In summary: if your soul desires it and your heart yearns for it then that’s the vision you should hold out for. World’s may collapse and fall while you wait but that’s a lesson in surrender and one for another time.

For The Weekend – Happy Healthy and High Energy

A few years ago I put together an event called Fat Tuesday. It’s name stemmed from the celebratory idea of Mardi Gras (which does actually translate to Fat Tuesday), but it’s concept was all about being happy and healthy as you are. So many people are fixated on the body beautiful or at least some unobtainable idea of it promoted by the media, that we have all but lost sight of the most beautiful thing about having a body: the ability to revel in sensation as it houses and transports your spirit around this mortal life. Today I’m fully focused on being happy healthy and high energy!

…but recently that hasn’t been the case.

How often do you find yourself out of touch with your physical health? How often does your body have to remind you that you have a duty to care for it?

Lately I’ve been feeling way older than I should… things creak and ache when they shouldn’t, my flexibility has reduced quite a bit in the last year and I’m finding myself more tired more often than usual… it’s a message that I’ve been ignoring but I cannot continue to be blind to the warnings.

Mind, body and spirit… the wholly trinity (yes, I spelled it correctly) of Self-Fullness. When all three are in balance we become an unstoppable channel for Divine service, but when one side of the triangle is depleted in any way, the whole is ineffective and illness follows.

Principle 6 of The Wholly Grail: I AM Self-Full, centres around self care and is totally focused on strengthening the triangle beginning with the physical body… the mind will deteriorate without a healthy body: adequate sleep, nutritious food, appropriate exercise and optimum hydration. The spirit will wither in the absence of a strong dwelling place and in competition with the distraction of physical discomfort… so what are you waiting for?

Though we all have commitments to uphold and attend to, the first commitment I’m making today is to myself… I deserve a life that’s happy, healthy and high energy… you do too (but you have to do it for yourself).

Leave me a comment below about what different choices you’re making about your health and happiness today.

After The Storm

I love the smell of the air immediately after the storm. Everything is more alive, more vibrant, washed clean by the rain and in full colour. It’s a time when, as a child I would take off my shoes and walk along the York stone paving with bare feet just so I could feel the wet, cool, solid foundation reminding me that this moment counts.

This moment counts.

What you do with it is your choice. It could be life changing, life affirming or it could pass by as a simple moment of acknowledgment of all that there is… you don’t have to do anything of course, you can go on with your daily rounds without looking up, without truly, fully breathing in, and without a clue that the moment is passing you by.

Having selected Principle 6: I AM Self-Full as the lead card in Saturday’s Intuitive Chalice Oracle, I’m mindful of the focus energy this week on doing what’s right for you and doing it slowly and with purpose. It’s being compounded by the gentle new moon in Taurus arriving in the early hours of Wednesday morning (about 01:16am UK time). The emphasis for me is about focus: all or nothing, this and only this… It may seem like limiting choices and expression of variety but for now at least, that way lies scattered thinking and dispersed intentions. I am my primary focus. My needs are paramount.

The storm has passed and it’s time to ponder the emergence of fresh perspective and tend to the fundamentals like health, home and happiness.

Whatever storms you have been facing have blown away the cobwebs and the chaos has transformed into a fertile landscape for planting new seeds. Some of those seeds you rescued from what went before, some you have dreamed anew but the only thing that matters now are the dreams you’ve dreamed for you.

Take off your shoes, put your feet on the ground, breathe, smile… and draw the moment inward until it fills you.

Happy Monday… x
