Saturday Oracle – The Storyteller’s Spell

I’ve agonized over whether or not to post the group oracle this week as events have compromised my work in the last few days but as the first card in this combination recommends, I AM Detached.

This week’s pairing brings together Principle 2 with the currently trending indigo brow chakra forming a powerful pull towards an old storyline.

Self fulfilling prophesy is a significant danger in the next few days as we revisit the patterns of the past that we had worked so hard to break free of. The Storyteller’s spell is an enchantment that we weave every time we repeat the pattern or speak of it, rehashing the old emotion and the associated wounds into new forms and faces with a familiar end game: a wheel of repetition.

When the 3rd eye or brow chakra is subjected to the same old movie running the same old script, it finds ways in the external world to have them play out… The Law of Attraction showing up for you exactly the way your mind prescribes it.

Principle 2: I AM Detached is the saving grace here, as is the purpose of each of the Principles of The Wholly Grail, by following the guidance of the defining Principle you have the power to break free from what seems like overwhelming odds to choose something different. Detachment is the art of separating yourself from a past you cannot change and a future that is not yet written, reinstating the power here in the present moment to create a different mental movie of a positive prophesy.

Look for areas of your life that throw up familiar challenges, people who push the same buttons and relationships with a “let’s go round again” feel to them. It would also be advantageous to monitor your thoughts for a while and see where you are placing your attention and worrying over details and outcomes, and then replace them with positive prayer and affirmations.

Call on Archangel Zadkiel this week to help you get the message once and for all where you have been learning through repetition in order to break the cycle, and also to ask for him to bring violet flame energy to transmute negative situations. Archangel Raphael to cleanse the 3rd eye chakra and heal unhealthy habits and addictions, and Archangel Raguel to mediate an therefore heal any conflicts that keep coming up for you.

Last One Standing

What’s your superpower?

I was struck by a realisation recently with regards to the trials and tribulations that we constantly find ourselves in, that we are looking at the whole thing back to front. As cycles and seasons turn we often recognise the patterns our lives follow and begin to feel let down when the same set of footprints appear to be trampled in what we hoped would be virgin snow or a new chapter of the adventure.

I noticed the amount of posts from friends on my Facebook feed saying 2017 is going to be different and I confess I had a momentary surge of jaded cynicism rise up within me when I remembered the posts from last year… saying the same thing… it quickly receded and was replaced by a sense of appreciation for what has transpired over the last 12 months, fully recognising the familiar patterns for what they were… aspects of my very own superpower waiting to be acknowledged.

My realisation constitutes a simple flip in perspective: begin to see your greatest challenges as a flimsy disguise for your superpowers…

For me, patience seems to be my life long lesson, my bugbear and karmic cross to carry through this lifetime… or so I thought until I flipped the notion and began to understand that my capacity for patience, waiting, endurance and sheer staying power is greater than that of most people I know… The things I’ve waited for in life, many would have (and indeed have) given up on years ago as I continued to believe and still continue to believe… Do I like waiting? Do I hell as like! I’m not particularly gracious at it either; waiting with grace being the very definition of patience… but I am invariably the last one standing in the game.

That’s not a challenge by the way, for any of my friends, acquaintances, clients and colleagues who think that its ok to waste my time on such matters. No indeed, my superpower is closely linked to my faith and my faith to the value of that for which I’m prepared to wait.

So now, using this idea by posing to yourself the question: what is my greatest repetitive challenge in life? Now sift through your history and recollect all the times you were faced with that challenge and survived it beyond the capacity of that shown by those around you.

See, you too are a superhero and now you’ve recognised your power you will never look at those challenges quite the same again and 2017 really can be a better year.

Feel free to leave me a comment on what your superpower is when you recognise it, I’d love to shout out to all the superheroes in my orbit.

Principle 1: I AM God, Principle 3: I AM Human and Principle 4: I AM Truth.

Radical Departure

The door is open, but the window is closing… the window in which to make the change by stepping through the open door.

I know you feel it, that “better the devil you know” mantra undermining your sure footed progress in pursuit of a goal, dream or transformative leap of faith, and the pull of the ever cycling karmic wheel is holding your wrist and tugging you back from the threshold with fearful questions like “What if you fail?” “What if you fall?”

Being intuitive doesn’t mean you’re immune from the effects of the inner goblin always asking you if you’re about to make a mistake but just for the sake of an experiment today ask your inner goblin this little question: “how many times have we done it your way up until now?” See the thing about repeating patterns is that you lose count really quickly and the thing about your inner goblin is he or she always starts a sentence with “Ah, but…”

The opportunity ahead of you may be a completely radical departure from your usual way of moving through life but if the goblin is honest, which to be fair he/she is merely fearful not a liar, then you’ll both have to acknowledge that in terms of where you are, the old way wasn’t working…

Walking through that door, accepting that opportunity may mean leaving something familiar behind, but to truly live up to your potential you have to be prepared to reach further, higher with every step… to become more in each breath than you were when you last inhaled… and in order to inhale ‘now and next’ you must first exhale ‘then and done.’

From where you’re standing now it may look like a giant step, but from where you’ll be tomorrow it was merely the first baby step in an entirely new direction.

No Apparent Conclusion

Do you ever get the feeling that you’re playing a game to which you don’t understand the rules, throwing the dice and moving your counter around a board that has no end, no destination and no apparent conclusion?

The wheel of fortune is constantly turning throughout life and if you believe in the hereafter then beyond its visible boarders too. This means nothing ever begins, nothing ever ends… for a linear species as we, this can provoke some very uncomfortable feelings of pointlessness at its worst and relief that we can’t run out of time at its best, but it’s all a matter of perspective.

We are, for the most part compelled to move forward, (though on a wheel, forward is actually just around), from one angle this is a constant repeating pattern and from another an ever ascending spiral; your level of positivity will determine that perspective in any given moment and may shift depending on where on the wheel you are… for example: when you are coming around for another pass and the territory looks, feels, sounds and smells familiar. It’s at times like this when you can become despondent, jaded even. You can choose to do it differently this time of course but your creativity may be at an all time low and let’s face it, you’ve tried everything you can think of, right? You’ve tango’d, you’ve waltzed, you’ve salsa’d, you’ve pirouetted… heck you’ve even moonwalked and yet round you go again… you’ve crawled, you’ve kicked and screamed, you’ve tip-toed and you’ve stopped dead and here you are back at that same familiar spot of feeling dissatisfied with the glass ceiling… Truly the most frustrating film I ever watched was Groundhog Day for just this reason because no matter how many times you rinse and repeat, the subtle discrepancies between each crack at the whip are never going to add up to your version of success…. Ahh now we’re getting somewhere.

What is your version of success? Perhaps the universe has a different plan? Perhaps the constant stopping point is an indicator that you’ve gone far enough and this spiral doesn’t ascend any further or yield any actual reward? You can compromise if you like, pretend that this is enough and that you’re happy with the mediocre results. You can settle for less than you’re worth, less than you want. You can try to convince yourself that the karmic scale balances what you put in with what you got out, or you can take a side step off the wheel to one that’s spinning at a different frequency… one where the upward spiral is obvious and it comes with an escalator rather than a real slog of a stairway to nowhere (except where you’ve just been).

If you’re all out of creative solutions, it might just be time to accept that there isn’t anything left for you to learn from your current quest and maybe it’s time to open the door to opportunity and let the universe offer up a new journey, one where the rewards are obvious: love, companionship, respect, acknowledgment and appreciation… mutual reciprocation of what you are willing to put in.

Demolishing The Pillars

I ran and I ran and I ran as fast as I could, as far as I could and when I stopped running I was right there where I stood.

No matter how far and how fast you run, when you are done running you will find that you couldn’t escape from yourself, from your thoughts, your memories, your faulty precepts and from your attitude about your life… so why do so many insist on running?

A fresh start isn’t such a bad thing of course, a new set of scenery and a chance to reinvent yourself without the resistance of environmental history and the people that make assumptions based on your past performance would absolutely have benefits but what’s to stop you from creating the same life in your new found location? What’s to stop you making the same mistakes over and over again?

Before you start making drastic changes to your external situation by demolishing the pillars of security you’ve built for yourself, take stock of the internal landscapes that you are honouring by mirroring in your everyday life… The beliefs you hold onto about who you are, where you’re positioned in relation to the world about you, what voices are guiding your decisions and if they are yours, a higher guidance or simply the negative echoes of other people’s opinions.

Adjusting your compass is a vital piece of the puzzle when attempting to redesign your life and if your compass isn’t set to true north then you will run toward a repeat performance of unsatisfactory or unsuitable.

The word compass is the leading edge of the word compassion and before you check out, you need to check in… check in on your compassion for yourself first and get friendly with who you are, who you’ve been and who you want to become. If your intended new self requires a new location, new compatriots and connections in order to create optimal conditions for growth then the opportunity will present itself, until then… where are you going?

Just so you know… I believe you’re perfection in progress… wherever you are.

Every one of the 7 Principles is contained within this piece.
