Saturday Oracle – Inside And Outside

This week’s oracle kicks my ass  on a previous post and I can’t help but be impressed by the irony of it. A little while ago I wrote a piece called Preparing On Purpose that was all about self confidence in any given situation coming from recognition of the divine within… and I stand by that. This oracle though, is pointing toward the necessity of lavishing attention on your physical self to help support your ego-based self-conscious issues.

This is far from a negative week though, in its entirety it is encouraging you to get full-on body positive in order to fully embrace your bliss.

Principle 6: I AM Self-Full connects with the energetic seat of personal power which is the exuberant yellow solar plexus to focus you in on pleasure over the coming days. This combination has a hedonistic feel to it but along with that comes the tendency to over-indulge.

To use this energy properly, which is the desire to direct love upon oneself, you must first ask what constitutes long term benefit as opposed to short term gratification.

We are swinging into the summer season now so minds are turning towards holidays and getting “beach ready.” We are focusing on romance and generally how best to regain our playfulness that hides throughout the winter months under layers of woolly jumpers and weather worn faces… but with this shift in agenda comes a shift in confidence, and all too often we begin to berate ourselves for not being perfect (whatever distorted image of perfection we may actually be clinging to).

The Solar Plexus governs our ego, our digestion and therefore eating habits, our ability to assimilate information, our ability to accommodate abundance, our natural childlike state of joyous abandon… bliss. If a healthy sense of self confidence lives here then you’re in for a week of excitement getting ready for the fun that is set to follow, if however you struggle with loving yourself then unnecessary worries are going to befall you.

Self-Full Living is the art of taking care of one’s own needs inside and outside, now is the time to do that. Give yourself the best fighting chance of shedding the inhibitions by spending this week deliberately tending to your own body’s and your ego’s needs: Pamper, exercise, eat well, practice self-appreciation affirmations, update your wardrobe based on what looks great and feels comfortable rather than what the label says (or the number on it)…if you look and feel great you will take some of the concern away from impromptu invitations to embrace life to the full.

You deserve to jump into the next phase with your full being in a state of bliss. Get ready now!

Preparing On Purpose

Be prepared. What does that even mean? As the motto of a boy scout it seems like a worthwhile pursuit, but how exactly do you expect to be prepared for the unexpected?

You are prepared, at least as well as you can be, for whatever life has to throw at you, simply because you have spent your entire life preparing for this moment… yes, this one.

Everything that has ever happened to you, every person you have ever met, every conversation you have ever participated in, everything you have witnessed, experienced, learned and done, has been in preparation for this moment. You see, God does nothing by accident. If you look back at your life you can clearly see the synchronicity of each event and how it smoothly led to the next which eventually brought you to this place. And no matter how ready (or not) you felt to undergo each transition through initiation by fire, you got here… that means you were ready and life had prepared you for the level of success or failure it required to get you to the next step…

Success or failure?

Yep! That’s what I said. Only The Great Unseen has the big picture and so what you see, as success may actually be the opposite of the catalyst you need to move the pieces across the cosmic chessboard towards your destined outcome, big picture success could require small detail failure, at least for now. But win or lose, the experience is the preparation for the next bit.

Now of course the boy scouts could be referring to the contrived concept of preparing on purpose….

Imagine for a moment you’re about to go on a first date. What does preparation look like then? Oh my goodness the lengths we go to, just in case: scrubbed, shaved, waxed, buffed, plucked, preened… moisturised, manicured, and that’s all before we select the perfect outfit… do we wear super-sexy, girl next door, casual, formal? What about shoes? Oh yeah, and do we go for the Bridget Jones knickers or the matching skimpy set? Now if you’re a boy I’d imagine the process is similar if a little less lengthy and stereotypically more focused on whether your car is waxed and buffed than your body, but what’s the point of all of this?

Are you now preparing on purpose for every possible eventuality or are you simply focusing on the external causes of your own lacking self-esteem in an attempt to convince yourself that you can cover up your imperfections? If that’s the case than I suggest that your preparation time would be better spent on learning to appreciate how beautiful you are from the inside out. Nothing is more attractive that confidence, self- love and the ability to shine your Divine essence in spite of outward appearance.

This applies to all events and encounters… you are ready now for whatever Big G sends your way…. if you aren’t ready, it won’t arrive anyway. Remember this: you are in exactly the right place at the right time, with all the appropriate training and wherewithal for whatever is coming your way. Succeed or fail, win or lose… this moment is yours. Don’t waste it on wondering if you have the right knickers on. If it’s worth all the fuss then the fuss won’t matter.

Experiencing An Internal Revolution

Everybody deals with emotional trauma in a different way. My immune system shuts down and become susceptible to illness… but it’s not my permanent or preferred place of residence.

I wanted to take this opportunity to guide you through healing from experiencing an internal revolution, that on the surface at least, can manifest as physical health issues.

Principle 6: I AM Self-Full is the way back to vitality whenever your health is compromised physically, emotionally or even spiritually and begins with a very basic premise: “me first.”

Untie all the commitments, promises, deadlines, self-imposed pressures and superfluous tasks and get busy with what’s really important… healing. Feeling better. Nurturing your mind, body and spirit on every level.

Start with rest, complete rest. It doesn’t mean you have to take to your bed, rest can be simply snuggling by the fire with a good book, relaxing in a bubble bath or such like. Next comes nourishment. Healing from the inside out means feeding your body healing foods, foods filled with life force that are fresh and pure. Don’t forget the life giving elixir that is clean water either, your vital organs need to detox from the flood of poisons that brought you to this state.

Now you must purify what is feeding your mind. The external world can be detrimental to the sensitive empath when your system is overloaded so now is the perfect opportunity to detox your information intake: If at all possible you should unplug from the digital hive mind altogether and instead read an uplifting book or two. Doing a digital detox can also be effective if you de-clutter your feeds and bookmarks, for example you might unsubscribe from anything and anyone that causes you more stress, unfollow and unfriend any negative influences and choose new ones whose inspiration supports your healing path.

Then you need to be honest with those around you. Principle 4: I AM Truth is a powerful reclamation of Self. Just by stating “this is where I am and this is what I need” can go a long way towards releasing what’s draining you… you don’t always have to be the one with the answers, you don’t have to be the glue that holds society together… doesn’t it already feel so much better knowing that the only thing that you have to fix right now is you?

And now stretch… Yoga, Pilates, something gentle. A walk (when you’re ready) and then breathe… reconnect with nature, even if it’s just pottering in the garden. And create, be it art, music, poetry, baking a masterpiece… maybe even a vision board of your most beautiful dream, we all need to express our creative inner muse, so do that too.

Whatever you need to do to come back to you, that’s your only job to survive the alchemical side effects of the revolution as you recuperate and prepare for the next leg of the quest. That’s where I’m at.

Saturday Oracle – The Onion Layer

The Intuitive Chalice Oracle is a tool for unearthing the flow of energy happening in your life and is also used a diagnostic tool for healing with The Wholly Grail. Combining one of the Grail’s seven Principles with one of the subtle body’s seven main 3rd dimensional chakras to form a picture of what area of the mind, body or spirit is trying to get your attention at this time.

This week’s combination is spot on for me and made me whence slightly before I unleashed a smile at the underlying possibilities. Whenever Principle 6: I AM Self-Full shows up you absolutely must turn your attention inwards towards your own personal needs regardless of how much your personality drives you towards selflessness. An empty vessel can’t support anybody so it’s time to assess what’s in need of refuelling and seek to give that very thing to yourself.

When the yellow of the solar plexus chakra is highlighted its primary focus is on your self-worth, personal power, innate joy and of course the exact opposite.

Be prepared to feel the negative forces of doubt and depression this week if they haven’t already started. Self destructive behaviours are to be watched for, like: addictions such as overeating,  excessive alcohol consumption, drugs and other distractions to numb or deaden the internal disturbance you may be feeling as we enter a temporary phase of feeling lost.

I want to make something clear at this point, this energy is temporary if you allow it to be and is a negative reaction to a positive shift. You have been transforming gently over the course of this year and a deep healing process has been undertaken to show you who you truly are and what you are capable of. This isn’t a hiccup in the process it’s the next phase, the next layer of the onion shedding to reveal the radiant beautiful soul beneath. The negativity is simply a fear response to yet more change but this time the work you have already put in combined with recognising what’s happening means you have the choice not to succumb to the destructive behaviours or give in to fear.

Something wonderful is just around the corner and you deserve the impending reward… rise up and make preparation. Focus on your own needs… Do you need to rest? Do you need to detox? Do you need to establish your own boundaries? Do you need to shift locations or redefine home? Do you need to be more connected to family, friends and loved ones? Fine what makes you happy and surrender the rest to an ever loving Source. Ask the angels to surround, guide and comfort you through this process and let them lead you to healthier choices based on nurturing your divine nature and not by punishing or suppressing it. Be Self-Full. That doesn’t mean being selfish, giving may be exactly what you need. Sharing can nurture the spirit just as much as becoming insular, like sharing a smile as you pass a stranger, sharing a couple of hours with a loved one over a coffee or perhaps even sharing yourself in a warm embrace with someone you love is exactly what’s called for right now.

Your innate happiness hasn’t gone anywhere, it will return once The Onion Layer is safely removed. If the onion makes you cry in the meantime… that’s healing too.

P is for…

P is for… preparation is the best place to start when it comes to achieving anything. In this case the preparation I’m referring to is the preparation of self. In Wholly Grail terms this means ensuring that the proverbial cup is full so that it may fuel your journey and further more, overflow to help others in theirs.

On Monday I introduced you to the “Symbol of My Success” which takes the form of a pear tree bearing one singular fruit. This fruit represents my ultimate goal in life and its re-emergence in my psyche shows that its time to add momentum to that dream and that this is the perfect time to take guided steps towards achieving it… but am I prepared?

Principle 6: I AM Self-Full is a concept which follows the rule of fulfilling your own needs first. This attitude seems alien to many because we associate this idea with being selfish, especially if we are carers for others, this includes mums, dads, nurses, doctors, teachers, kids with elderly or infirm parents, even pet owners… most of us in fact have to care for others in some way, at some point during our lives… this is a good thing: inter-relating is the primary trigger for human development and besides, life would be tragic if we didn’t care for and about each other, but this alien concept of me-before-you has us feeling guilty for taking a moment for ourselves to care about the greatest asset you possess: your body, mind and spirit… the component parts that make up this particular incarnation of you.

Preparation this week includes taking a look at the obstacles between you and your goal that exist within you and then making a plan and taking action to address each one… here’s what I mean :

If it’s yourself to run a marathon but you are overweight and seriously unfit and have never run even for a bus, then you need to get on a healthy eating plan and start with some gentle stretches and supervised cardio, right?

If you have a passion for interior design and want to decorate your home (or someone else’s) but you can’t climb a ladder or hold your arms above your head  long enough to hang wallpaper then you better take up yoga to improve strength, flexibility and balance… makes sense.

If your dream is to become a mum then you need to make sure your body is in tip top shape not just for the strain that pregnancy will put you under but also for the sleepless nights to come and the endless games of hidee- boo and piggyback you’ll be playing after that!

These are only examples of physical preparation for your journey, later we can discuss the mental and emotional steps to Self-Full Living, for today though, just ask yourself: “Is it just a dream or am I willing to take the necessary steps to bring it to life?” And then ask: “Am I physically capable of the task?”

The answer “no” should be an indication of the next step on your path…
