Dialling Home To Heaven – Reverence in Meditation

Following on from the appearance of The Sacred Chalice in the Oracle at the weekend I thought it prudent to inject a little reverence into this week’s posts. I hope you enjoyed Monday’s insight and that the angelic grace visualisation helped to settle any disturbance you may be feeling as a result of the current energy flow.

Reverence is something that gets lost when you have fun with spirituality and you should definitely have fun with it. Life is supposed to be fun and God, The Creator, Source, Tao, whatever you want to call Him/Her/It isn’t judging you for it… you will not be smited for calling The Almighty “Big G” as I do, nor will the angels forsake you because you meditate whilst sat on the loo!

When things get a little scary though, when your world tilts slightly and you lose perspective and connection due to the internal mess that comes with change, that’s when reverence, applied sincerely, is like dialling home to heaven.

Sacred practice is a part of living a spiritual life: meditation or prayer for example, daily communication with your higher power is essential for maintaining a healthy spirit… for the most part it’s like calling mum and dad from your travels, laughing, joking, just checking in, but applying reverence is like turning up at the door and saying softly “Mum, Dad, we need to talk. I’m in trouble and I need help.”

The atmosphere instantly changes and God seems to stop what He’s doing for just a moment (and mum’s no longer washing up whilst your chatting, she’s sat at the table giving you all her attention, dad’s put down the paper and is staring intently into your eyes watching for signs of what’s happening in your mind)… everybody is paying attention… because you are treating this moment with a sacred trust and a sense of importance.

God’s always listening. He’d much prefer you to be happy, tuned in to the part of you that is Him, knowing you’ve got this, following your bliss and just checking in to say ” Hi, everything is flowing smoothly” but when you shift gear and really dial in… when reverence replaces revelling, that’s when you come home and recognise you are loved, and your Divine Parent will always be there to lift you up, bail you out and put you back on your playful path.

Light a candle, take a moment… and start dialling home to heaven.

Flowing Towards What’s Growing

Each morning and evening, when I wake and before I go to sleep, I journal. Nothing extensive, just a few lines of thoughts, feelings, experiences and a prayer. This sacred act helps bring clarity and focus, relieves repetitive thought and ensures any suppressed issues are brought into the light… in short its a healing process that forms part of my Self-Full routine and one I’d highly recommend to anyone.

As I picked up my journal today I caught sight of a short entry from last week that made me smile… it simply read: “Dear God, please protect my happy bubble!”

What a wonderful image to portray in words.

The reference sought to acknowledge the fragility of joy within a mind that is habituated to stress through years of looking too far forward and too far back. I tell myself that comes with the territory of an intuitive, prophecy is rarely based in the now and that of course is where my happy bubble exists.

God’s answer came in very quickly the day I wrote it with the overwhelming internal message “How can I protect you from yourself… when you won’t let Me?” That’s what made me smile. When the insight becomes tangible for you that you are all powerful when it comes to the choice of presence. When you understand that the sharp edges that threaten your happy bubble are the metaphorical knives and arrows of your own thoughts and that you have the free will to transform “if, but and maybe” into moment to moment “flowing towards what’s growing,” then happy becomes less of a gamble and transforms into a natural friend that stands with you regardless of the external twists and turns that penetrate the outer veil when the universe wants to ramp up the story a notch.

Principle 2: I AM Detached is my happy bubble. If I want God to protect it, then I have to put down the knives!

P.S. if you want to find your happy bubble through deep spiritual practice then you could do worse than to check out my brand new ascension training: The Path of Petals commencing early March.

Is That It?

It’s the 1st Monday of the month and that makes it challenge day! I don’t know why I picked the 1st Monday to issue a Grail Challenge but that seems to be how it fell.

Today really is a challenge for me this month because I’m dealing with a five specific personal dilemmas that are taxing my brain a little more that usual and all seem to have come to a head at the same time, they involve: work, relationships in one form or another, time management, health and Divine Service… some of these issues overlap and some stand alone but each has an effect on the others and today it’s imperative that I get my head around prioritising each to bring balance back to an otherwise beautiful day.

Getting caught up in an intricate web of how-to’s can bring life and order to a standstill pretty quickly when you allow the overwhelm to kick in and I for one am pretty fed up with allowing things to get that far so here’s your challenge and certainly the one I’m employing today:

Stop, relax, pray for guidance and then allow time to meditate upon the answers.

What do you mean “Is that it?” Yes, that’s it!

Your challenge is to find silence for just a short time in which perspective can flood back to you along with the answers to all your dilemmas. Give it to God. After all, that part of you that is Him already knows what to do.

Principle 1: I AM God.

Ps Happy Lughnasadh, Happy Yorkshire Day, Happy Birthday to my late dad, Happy August and of course Happy Monday!

An Empty Vessel

Grail Oracle Chalice

It’s been only a very short space of time since The Sacred Chalice was pulled from the deck and today it almost fell out.

The Intuitive Chalice Oracle is a tool for diagnosis, inspiration, guidance and personal healing as well having predictive capabilities. It includes 7 Principle Cards along with 7 Chakra Cards making a possible 49 combinations, each combination has a positive and a negative possibility creating 98 interpretations… but then there’s the wild card: The Sacred Chalice, a card that when chosen requires no chakra card to accompany it as it has one of two opposing and yet replete messages neither leaving room for anything else…

Message 1: You are full

Message 2: You are empty

The first requires nothing but your complete appreciation of all the goodness that has manifested for you as a result of either your own sense of wholeness or as a result of miraculous intervention and the second leaves no room for anything but your full focus on creating that state.

An Empty Vessel is the latter and this week sees your need to drop all superfluous ambitions in favour of a singular dedication to your mind, body and soul’s need for nourishment, care and meaning. This may be a time where you feel the need to withdraw from your social and public duties and find solace in prayer, meditation, and other sacred ritual.. whatever works for you. That might be running for some, reading for others… every person is unique and so too are their methods for self renewal. This time is not about resting exactly, more about taking gentle positive action without need for sudden movement or knee-jerk reactive approaches. Allow your inner self to slide into slow motion no matter how fast the outside world is moving.

Once you reconnect with the true source of your power, your Sacred Chalice will refill and normal service will resume without you having to think too much about it.

Remember that an empty vessel is not always a negative thing, sometimes it’s just a perfect place to fill with love and light.

More next week… x
