Saturday Oracle – Free Your Mind From Worry

Worry is the single most useless type of thought process you can apply your mind to, and yet it is also a fairly universal preference. I say preference because we have a choice, and if we have a choice and still choose worry then surely it’s because we prefer it? Isn’t it time to free your mind?

This week’s combination includes Principle 5: I AM Liberated, the affirmation of letting yourself out of a prison born of matter with the highly spiritual violet crown chakra. These two are are a prescription for remedial action where worry is concerned.

So the potential for the week ahead then is finding yourself being drawn into negative thought patterns and false beliefs about something or someone, that have been keeping you locked into your current set of circumstances and unable to move forward. It’s important to get to grips with the fact that neither the object nor the individual have any power over you, it is your thoughts about the subject that control your action or inaction.

Interrupting the worry habit is key to rectifying the detrimental effects on your physical and emotional life and there are a few ways you can do that… this particular combination is recommending meditation as an antidote, distraction is another that simply takes you filling idle time where your mind has too much opportunity to wander back to the familiar, with concentrated effort or new learning.

Worry is usually about loss of some kind, whether that be loss of material attachments, loss of status, loss of comfort, loss of tribal bonds and relationships, loss of reputation, loss of health and finally loss of life. Worry won’t fix any of those things and that’s why finding perspective through witnessing your life from a higher platform during meditation can help you firstly release your mental and emotional grip on whatever recurring thought has you held prisoner, and secondly will allow your higher self to switch you to solution based deliberation.

You may not actually be in danger of losing the object of your apparent distress at all and in that case the energy you expend fretting about it may be causing issues of its own.

Can You Care Too Much?

Monday’s feel like a good day to explore further the message that the weekend’s oracle provides for the days ahead, so hang with me to unlock the reason why the truth is so difficult. Ask yourself: can you care too much?

Truth was big on the agenda in Saturday’s reading and it strikes me that we all manage to hide absolute truth behind a wall built of fear. Fear of being seen as less than we pretend to portray, fear of loss, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment etc. but mostly this fear is an unconscious pattern that until explored remains a faceless feeling of unease that is squashed down and hidden in the closet by a lie, an exaggeration, an embellishment or an omission. The truth, we believe, will expose us and make us vulnerable.

The answer is that yes, we can care too much. But about what?

Outcomes, certainty and prediction, all the reasons we read oracles, see psychics and send ourselves half insane is to do with the human ego’s attempt to pin down the future, to be sure. “If I do A will it lead me to Z?”

But what happens when you stop caring?

When you disconnect from the need to know where all this is leading and detach from the destination (so much as to simply allow Source to lead you into whatever happens next with an open mind and an open heart), you put your inner gremlins back to bed because they have nothing left to protect you from. For example: when you give up the need for someone to like you or agree with you because you’re no longer invested in anything but the well-being of all parties, suddenly you open up a window for honest communication. Offending someone is no longer an obstacle because the primary objective becomes understanding, which can only come from genuine listening in equal measure to authentic speech… two way dialogue.

Imagine how different your conversations would be during your workday if you weren’t subconsciously sabotaging yourself and fudging reality because you were afraid your boss might not like you, or your colleagues might not invite you to the after work get-together.

Detach from your hidden agendas today by being ruthlessly honest with yourself first about what you are really withholding the truth for, and who from?… maybe it’s you?

Wholly Grail Principle 2: I AM Detached.

Tiptoe On A Knife Edge

Balance is in full focus today as we arrive at the Spring Equinox (autumn if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere) that seemed to creep up on us whilst we were occupied with everything and nothing. One of two points in the calendar where the light and the darkness share precisely the same amount of moments and we pivot towards a new dominance. As we tiptoe on a knife edge seasonally, so too do we have an emotional choice to make… do we favour the darkness or the light.

The oracle combination I pulled at the weekend mirrored this shift from healthy exploration into potential addition and sets the scene for this post. Though it appears at first glance to have a sinister undertone it is in fact an invitation to understand that within you exists that point of perfect balance, liminal space, neither light nor dark, just sublime equilibrium, a pause between breaths, when you are neither one thing nor the other and power runs through you without resistance or hindrance… and then trust, faith, belief and innocence give way to fear on this knife edge… fear of falling.

When you fear something you create it.

Where you had balance you resorted to your conditioned state of believing that you needed something to maintain it, that someone might try to take it from you and you must protect it. And in that moment you veer to the left or to the right and the sharp line you were treading begins to wobble as you flail about trying to regain your centre but falling at this stage is inevitable… just as surely as tomorrow the light, the daylight hours will gain ground in the north and the darkness or night will take back dominion over the south.

It’s a subtle shift, a tilt you may not notice at first, but opposing forces must continue to circle around each other so that the elaborate game of life goes on.

Take time to honour and notice the shift within. Whatever state you are moving from or to emotionally, physically, intellectually, geographically… what ever area of your personal experience is evolving, observe, respect and bless this point of transition.

Take a moment today to assess where you’re at. Don’t panic, don’t struggle, balance will be restored naturally when you relax and trust that you are exactly where you need to be. Principle 2: I AM Detached will help you stay present with what is and Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted allows giving and receiving in equal measure… or in other words: perfect balance.
