Get The Basics Right, The Fun Stuff Will Follow

We have arrived at the end of an energetically transformative week, which if you’ve taken advantage of, you could be feeling grounded in the present moment, poised for whatever’s next but neither relying on its arrival nor doubting that it will come. This place, here, in the now, is a wonderful environment filled with the power of infinite potential but it is not a place to wait… it’s a place to nurture that power by focusing on what’s important and immediate. Get the basics right, the fun stuff will follow.

So what are the basics?

Last Saturday’s oracle whose potency is evident right up until the end of the day, was about communicating your needs, and given the mildly antagonistic nature of last night’s super new moon, this is a perfect time for you to attend to those needs regardless of whether help is available. There is so much you can achieve between now and whenever the universe delivers your gift in whatever form it arrives.

The basics include first and foremost your most precious possessions: your body, mind and spirit. Attend to your personal care needs first, spend some time in nature listening to the birdsong and remembering how to breathe deeply, right down into the bottom of your lungs, exhaling the residue of what no longer serves you. Take time to appreciate the flowers… I’m happily playing in my garden doing just that after my help arrived early in the week in the form of a beautiful friend who worked like a machine helping me tame the neglect and half rebuild Eden… thank you Karen!

The basics include spending time with family: eat together, play together, put down your phones and devices and relearn how to talk to each other… laugh together.

Today is all that matters, leave tomorrow to take care of itself (I’ll be back with the Intuitive Chalice Oracle then).

Saturday Oracle – The End Of The Road

Go on, ask me if I’m surprised this one came up?

I choose the relevant combinations simply by allowing my hands to hover over the backs of the face down cards to discern where the energy accumulates and is more intense… today the Sacred Chalice was all but screaming at me. The only card that is neither a Grail Principle nor does it need an accompanying chakra card because it’s message is basic: “This is it.”

“This is what?” You may well ask.

This is the end of the road.

You can no longer keep doing what you’ve been doing in the way that you’ve been doing it and total surrender is now the order of the day.

The card has both positive and negative aspects so don’t make assumptions. On the one hand you may have hit rock bottom and be in need of a miracle because your life cannot continue this way, but on the other, the arrival of the miracle or jackpot itself also means your life cannot continue the way it did. Change is change, the end is the end, whether you view it as a windfall or a wipeout.

This of course is the weekend associated with resurrection which literally describes the death of the old and rising up as something new, and you will have a very strong notion already of which area of your life this applies to. Don’t try to hold onto the old paradigm, it no longer serves you.

When The Sacred Chalice shows up, whether good or not so much, it requires you to go back to basics, creating a solid foundation upon which to build from. Here I recommend following Principle 6: I AM Self-Full to focus on your primary needs and self care, especially as any change, even a major lottery win or finding and falling in love with Mr Right, will cause a jolt to the system.

The chalice symbolically represents the womb and is therefore always about nurturing oneself and allowing your higher power to provide a place of safety and sustenance materially and energetically.

Eat well, sleep well, meditate often and exercise gently to disperse any accumulation of stress hormones, preferably out in nature if the weather allows, and finally, ask for support from loved ones if you need it. ¬†Though it may not be time to announce to the world what’s going on, a beloved or trusted friend can be the difference between joyful transformation and struggling in isolation.

I pray your Chalice be filled with joyful blessings, but I know they really are blessings even if you cannot see how that’s the case at present.

The enormity of the energy of this card makes me wishing you fluffy Easter Bunnies and a basket full of miracles seem a little frivolous, but I do.

Symbol of My Success

Many years ago when I first began my formal spiritual education, my then teacher, a wise old bird by the name of Janet instructed me and a group of fellow meditatees (not sure that’s even a word but I like it) to plant a seed symbolically in our minds that each time we entered a visualisation we should water, nurture, care for and tend. After several weeks most of the group had grown various beautiful flowers but me, I managed unintentionally to grow a mighty tree. Now you might imagine it was a sturdy oak as that’s an obvious statement of strength, health, longevity and ancient wisdom but no, mine was a pear tree.

This tree grew strong and contained many messages for me, for example often I would visit the tree and a ribbon would be tied around the trunk, the colour of which, as a colour therapist, had varied and poignant meanings. Wildlife used the tree as a haven and they too provided wisdom through their totem interpretations, all of which helped to shape and guide my growth and development. The most significant symbol within that sacred tree though was one solitary pear… the idea that my hard work would pay off and bare fruit.

The health, strength and even the survival of that magnificent pear tree were totally at my mercy in those early days and this week the tree has shown up for me again, bearing a single pear and asking for me to nurture its growth. It’s roots are strong, its grown exponentially in stature and that singular fruit is my only true goal… but to bring that fruit into reality I now have to mirror the techniques of watering, caring, nurturing and tending first for myself and then for my goal, that it too may bare fruit.

That pear has always been the symbol of my success.

This week I’m intending to let the pear be my guide as I explore with you simple steps to Self-Full Living, that you may also be watered, nurtured, cared for and tended… refuelled and ready to bring your goals into the light.

Are you ready for a week of exploring Principle 6: I AM Self-Full?

Watch for the pear… x
