Saturday Oracle – At The Root Of The Matter

I’ve been contemplating this combination for a while, doing my best to ignore the obvious connotations it infers. This week Principle 1: I AM God meets the blood red base chakra to get at the root of the matter.

Whilst preparing an ascension class earlier this week I was meditating with the Ascended Master Hilarion with regards to firstly the impending lesson and secondly my own life and current circumstances. He pointed out for me a simple image of a tree… admittedly this was an impressive specimen, obviously having been there an age, but it took some digging and jostling on his part to get me to recognise what the tree represented for me.

This combination represents the tree in many ways, with roots running deep and wide into a fertile earth and a trunk that was solid and strong, so strong that it’s still the most widely used building material in the world, and then there’s the branches, boughs and leaves reaching up towards the light.

Consider that the branches etc, are the things you reach for, the things you grow and the fruits you bare… the projects, services and gifts you give to the world in your own way no matter how small. The strong trunk would have to be your health… your mind, body and emotions in balance producing vitality, energy and that necessary strength. Not just physical strength but the strength or endurance to go the distance. Then we have those roots…

The base chakra, or root as its otherwise known is not so called for no reason.

In my vision the tree, though strong and magnificent was stood alone. In order to stand alone you must have very strong roots in deed. Roots are your basic needs. They have little to do with where you come from which is the association we often make but it is to do with what makes you feel safe.

Your security, safety, sense of belonging and your resources are all in question this week as the first Principle asks about worthiness. That, combined with material needs such as home or shelter, food, water, money etc, is spelling out a week where your attention is turned to survival and possibly fraught with unnecessary worries brought on by poverty consciousness, also known as lack mentality.

Your agenda is changing from what you produce to what you use and though reality is a good place to be (compounded by Neptune now in retrograde), your inability to recognise yourself as worthy and deserving of abundance is going to be your stumbling block.

Years ago my Auntie ran one of the busiest pubs in Sheffield city centre (before the pub trade died on its ass for various reasons). Every Christmas, the pub was so rammed that the bar team got overwhelmed… in those days they didn’t use posh epos cash registers, you were expected to do the maths… but my Auntie had a strategy for her team for just such occasions and its stuck with me for 30+ years: “Think of a number and double it!”

The strategy wasn’t exactly sound but the sentiment was, you see nobody blinked an eye, nobody was counting, everyone wanted what they had to sell (a good time and a party atmosphere more than a pint of bitter I might add), and nobody cared.

Principle 1 is about having faith that all your needs will be met because you are a spark of the divine and it is only your thoughts about what you want and whether you deserve it that keep you apart from it.

So in short: Your focus is on your material well-being, and rightly so as stuff no doubt needs taking care of… but if you focus on what you don’t have you’ll create more need, if you focus on what you do have you’ll create more abundance. If you recognise that you are worthy of more, more will be added, if you assume you don’t deserve to receive then the universe will not deliver!

Remember that tree… How long did it take to get so big and strong and magnificent… you’ve made it this far, push the roots deeper and remember its the ground around you that provides the nutrients but the leaves stretching high into the air need the light of God to do anything with the resources the roots absorb. Money is not separate from God, nothing is… and you are allowed to want more of it in your life… abundance is your birth right.

More next week… x

What If The Obstacle Is You?

Do you focus on the obstacles or the way around them? This was the question I had to ask myself this morning when preparing to write a Grail insight.

Interestingly, I was the obstacle to my own motivation this morning when I awoke feeling a little out of sorts having witnessed a movie style dream scenario, no doubt unearthing deeply routed truths about my inner workings and the current state of my external life. The obstacle was an obvious Law of Attraction faux pas, I was focused on how I felt not how I wanted to feel.

My thoughts were dictating the direction my day was going and though a part of me was giving in to the momentum of going nowhere fast, my overall goals did not exist along that particular path. My goals being to feel joy, passion, fulfilment, inspiration and excitement in every moment from here on out. The goals had to be the motivation.

Choosing to look beyond the obstacle is often the most effective way of allowing Source to show you the route around or through it, creating a simply and swift path to the destination whereas when you look directly at the very thing that is stopping you from moving forward that will eventually become all you can see. I’m not suggesting that you slip into denial about the potential setbacks along the path… they are meant to keep the journey interesting, to provide challenge and diversity in the day to day of things but there’s a big difference between acknowledging what’s in the way and obsessing over it.

So what if the obstacle is you?

When what you want is a big enough ‘why?’ and the benefits to shifting into a higher gear outweigh the familiarity holding you back then you start to create the formula for revolution.

Use a visual trigger to remind you… I know vision boards are becoming a bit common place but there’s a reason for that. Stick some motivational quotes on the fridge door, get some pictures that represent your intentions, start describing your desired adventure and start taking small steps towards your new world.

Today I have mundane tasks to complete that don’t seem to have the potential to drive me forward… or do they? My goals as I said are to feel joy, passion, fulfilment, inspiration and excitement in every moment… so my mundane chores (done with a happy heart) are about to be the key to all those feelings… now let’s start with a magical walk through the enchanted forest just to buy some milk!

Look past the problem and witness the potential and remember that Principle 4: I AM Truth is an ever growing entity… “I reserve the right to evolve!”
