For Being Wild And Free

When I posted the oracle reading at the weekend for this week, you might remember a mere mention of St Patrick’s Day and the Fae Goddess Aine, sometimes associated with or as the Faerie Queen Dana. Legends vary about the queen of the faeries but one legend has it that St Patrick was revered for having banished the Tuatha De Danan (Children of Dana or little people) from Ireland. Aine, instead of actually leaving, simply raised her vibration and made herself and her kin folk invisible to avoid conflict. All this because Paddy and his fellow invaders feared the Tuatha for being wild and free. The Fae found a way to co-exist anyway.

Of course the validity of the stories are questionable and I’m not really worried about the source of a good yarn, perhaps spun by a leprechaun of Tuatha origin who had one too many pints of Guinness before planting a smackeroony on the Blarney Stone… The point is thus: some old geezer with a stilted idea of what is acceptable behaviour decided to demonize a whole race because he wasn’t prepared to learn more about what it means to allow everyone to breathe their own uniqueness.

Now in other legends, Aine’s sexuality is suppressed and even oppressed by an older man who wants to control her… The story is one of abuse and not at all pleasant so I won’t elaborate but all in all the moral is: conform, reform, perform… and do it by someone else’s rules and expectations or be punished/banished.

The Wholly Grail’s Principles 1 through 7 all have a universal clause, what this means is although each Principle begins with the words “I AM” it applies to all, so whilst I AM, YOU ARE too. The problems really kick in when you lose sight of the fact that “you are.” When you feel less than, it is human nature to try to diminish or disempower another in order to level the field or to feel better about one’s own inadequacies. In truth the only power you ever need is in abundant supply and readily available from Source. That wild and free, pure innocence of knowing whose child you actually are, to the untrained eye can look like rebellion, disruption, non-conformist, far-too-lairy-for-words, who-do-you-think-you-are, I’ll-pull-you-down-a-peg-or-two shenanigans and strikes ¬†fear in those who wish to control it.

Now, as you watch or participate in this St Patrick’s Day festivities, count how many leprechauns and leprechaun hats you see… The Tuatha had the last laugh because they successfully integrated themselves into the long forgotten and rewritten story as the hero of the hour… Aine/Dana left a legacy of magic and luck that means when the world celebrates on March 17th, it has nothing to do with a mean fella banishing the Fae Folk from the Emerald Isle and everything to do with embracing the wild pure spirit (and the black stuff).

Just as I finished writing this, my faerie guide Harvey, (short for Harv ‘a Mo, because he’s always trying to get me to think before I act… ha!) funnily enough also a ginger bearded little Irish dude in a green top hat, started telling me a joke…. “Did you hear the one about the Irish Saint who thought he defeated the Faerie Goddess…”

What was I waffling on about?

A Greater Dreaming

For the most part I keep Grail wisdom in the land of the everyday; focused on real life, real problems and a quest that most people can relate to, but occasionally I can’t help but wander into the land of myth, legend, mystery and allegory…

Magic has been sought by man for millennia as a way of lifting the spirit from the mundane to the miraculous and for those truly initiated in the field, once your eyes are open to real magik they can never be closed again. Once you have stepped through the veil, the illusion, everything is brighter, clearer and has an unreal quality to it that sets it apart from what you previously experienced to now recognise the dream…

Sure, in this dream there are demons as well as angels but unlike your time spent asleep, the time before you understood you were on a quest, the demons are easier to spot and you have a choice to stay away from them or to engage as a part of your adventure on the path. There are myriad helpers in the great unseen that once your eyes, heart and mind are open will emerge to help you float along through a greater dreaming toward whatever comes next, and any interaction with the other realms will either inspire you or render you speechless but either way you will be changed forever.

I created the Grail with the backdrop of a time when anything was possible, a time of Arthurian Knights, dragons and magik, not because it’s fantasy but because in a land where anything is possible so to are you, in any format that you choose… you can create the life that want, recreate the person you want to be, choose to believe in angels and faeries, dragons and mysterious cups, knights and chivalry… you can choose to build Camelot for yourself from wherever or whatever position you are currently in. That’s true magik.

The membership section of the site is currently under construction… if it were ready today and you were a member you would have access to the “Creating Camelot” programme to help you overhaul your life, plus today we’d be digging deeper into working with the higher realms… until it’s ready though…

I’m off to battle my real life demons with the aid of the faeries in my garden.
