Monday Morning Mood Makeover – Laughing In The Face Of Wisdom

Writing this on Sunday afternoon as I felt compelled to do, I couldn’t contain the merriment that seemed to be exploding from my inner being as a result of seeking enlightenment.

You would imagine the intense work involved in learning and teaching the secrets of ascension would be serious business and that the euphoria would stem from housing the Light of God for any given period of time… but no, the sheer bliss actually spontaneously erupted from the very human question: “Who in the world would believe this shit… and more to the point, who could you possibly tell without being locked up for suspected temporary insanity?”

In that split second (that went on for a further several minutes) I rediscovered the secret of true enlightenment: the uncontrollable childlike belly laughter that rose up from depths of my being at the absurdity of the hoops we jump through to become that which we never stopped being… we just forgot that we were and always will be, and in fact can never be anything else other than The Divine in human form.

Now I would love to share with you the secret processes, teachings and time honoured initiations that involve transforming your physical body into a pure clear vessel for more light, but it’s Monday morning… can you honestly tell me you have the time, patience (or faith) to follow those instructions in minute detail, even down to how to breathe? Or, would you be much more invested in a couple of minutes with some good friends dropping all your defences and raucously howling at the externally apparent idiocy of having to explain why your base chakra just exploded…

Make of that what you will but should physical repercussions become evident, I bags the first crack at the bathroom!

Laughing in the face of wisdom may be a bit disrespectful but this Grail Knight just had the best laugh she’s had all year.

Drop the struggle and surrender to the absurdity of reality… you may just realise that Principle 1: I AM God, is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth… honest.

Stuck Between Floors

The old world, the one you once called home, the one where the inhabitants were ushered here and there day by day; heads down, unaware of the injustice visited upon them by the shepherds of the self proclaimed utopia; once you raised your eyes from your feet and the pavement in front of you and stepped out of line, sneaking past the guard who had been equally as brainwashed into believing he was protecting some kind of social order… that world to which you once belonged when you were asleep, is now an alien place to you.

They know you are no longer entranced. To go back there is not an option.

The new world, the one with an army more equipped with technology, fire power, resources and subterfuge, the one you imagined you might infiltrate to see what was really going on, that place is terrifying to you… to be a sheep or a wolf? You can survive for so long being an evolved sheep in wolf’s clothing, there are those who won’t bat an eyelid as you carefully manoeuvre through this dangerous territory… after all you look the part, you talk the talk… but you smell like a lamb to the slaughter and you don’t know the ropes here. What do you do? You can’t stay, it’s not safe… and you certainly can’t go home…

Home?

Change is enormously distressing even when you know it’s necessary. Enlightenment, means change. Like stepping into an elevator at the ground floor and pressing the button to ascend only to find that you become stuck between floors. The time in that space can be a frantic grapple to get to a place of safety but you have no real understanding of what safety is, simply because the floor below you stifles your newly open receptors but the floor above seems just as uninspiring and full of pretenders with hidden secrets…

Where is home?

The elevator is your friend. The gentle background music and the reassuring voice “lift going up.” This isolation is not a trap.

You aren’t stuck, the small box in which you are shielded, raising you far beyond the only floors you believed existed will deposit you in its own sweet time to a place so far beyond the drab, way past the shiny and garish, into a place where sheep and wolves transform through Grace into genuinely beautiful individuals who will open their arms to accept you as the magical doors open… and for the first time you will know that you’ve truly arrived home.

Hold your nerve, don’t get off until you reach your floor… you belong much higher than ever dared believe.

Principles 1 & 4.

That Place Where You Are Free

Where on the Grail path are you?

That’s a question that when asked, you may be tempted to list your spiritual accomplishments, many trainings, how many people you’ve helped and the number of certificates you’ve gained in the process. You may rank your distance travelled along the road by your income or your ability to live without one, these are all just comparables and comparing yourself to an outside standard actually means you are about as far from your destination as you can get.

It’s not a race, it’s not a competition, it’s the journey home.

When you’re asked where are you on your Grail path, the answer you’re looking for is “I’m home.”

Now you have to decide what coming home actually means for you. For me it’s peace, fulfilment, love, clarity, creativity, wonder and grace… an enlightened state of Open-Heartedness that can only be achieved when when both Principle 1: I AM God and Principle 7: I AM Open-Hearted sit in unison. All the other Principles are guidelines to dismantle the blocks to embracing the first and the last. Coming home isn’t a long journey and in fact has nothing to do with distance. It’s a different path for each of us and there are a million external distractions to pull you from your quest, disorienting you and claiming to be the way home to the Grail but if it’s external its not home… I promise you it can’t be found out there. Sure you will catch a glimpse of it in the outside world, when you find momentary joy the Grail will appear, but it’s the joy that is home not the temporary trinket that you imagined brought that joy to you.

Home is that place where you are free and anything else is a poor imitation. Across these next few posts I’ll examine the 5 stages between God and your heart… the Principles that stand between you and home… between now and the next post though, your job is to examine what areas of your life you don’t feel free… let’s get serious about the quest this week.
