First Monday Challenge – The Starting Blocks

“Welcome to 2017. Please remember to fasten your seatbelts and remain in your seat until the ride has completely come to a halt…” except it never really does come to a halt does it?

The first Monday of the year and we are all geared up for this universal 1 year (whatever that is), having survived by the skin of our teeth the “9” year of endings that felt like it went on forever at times and yet it seems just moments since I began a post with the words “first Monday of the year.”

What exactly does it look and feel like to be geared up for a year of fresh starts and new beginnings though?

Many of you will be holding your breath waiting for the new to come colliding in through the front door (and for a few it might), but for the most part this cosmic stream that we have placed power into mainly through collective intention is simply providing optimum conditions for you to create anew. The challenge here is when to begin and when to wait.

I know you’re already knelt at the starting blocks but the truth is that you may still be missing some vital information, inspiration, or the direction in which to set off running and so now is the time for reflection, meditation, consolidation and decision making, otherwise when the starting pistol does get around to firing you’ll be spinning on the spot losing vital energy.

Get a pen and paper, write down what you really want to create this year, as both tangible, measurable outcomes and as the resultant feelings and emotions that go with them… use the 7 Principles of The Wholly Grail as guidance if you like, they will provide you with:

Self- worth, Presence, Forgiveness, Authenticity, Freedom, Health and Personal Fulfilment and Balanced Relationships… that’s not a bad place to start now is it? Once you’ve got your list, meditate on it, rule out all the clutter and pare that list down to just 3 things (all the feelings, but just 3 actual goals). These are your priorities… your current hearts desires. This is where your energy should go and which direction you need to set off in when the momentum takes you.

Remember something else important too… when you set off towards your destiny, it sets off in search of you. That’s gonna be a bit shit if you’re running blindly in the opposite direction so get focused. What’s another few days, weeks, months?

When the ride sets off, it will be the ride of your life, but for now you have to wait for the rollercoaster to fill up with the component parts and players… prepare…wait…

Saturday Oracle – Blind Justice

Grail Oracle 4Grail Oracle Indigo

Principle 4: I AM Truth, has surfaced for the second week running, this week bringing with it the deep indigo of the 3rd eye chakra to ask you a very important question: “Can you believe your eyes?”

Truth, as I’ve mentioned before, is subjective depending on your point of view and not every “what?” has a “why?” Let me explain…

Blind Justice is impartial and the legal system itself is dependent upon only the facts being established, the evidence as it stands. Supposition and conjecture are inadmissible in any court of law because they hold no weight… they are the grey area where one party attempts to establish motive or intention behind any action and although motive can sway a jury it isn’t actually evidence… it’s circumstantial.

Take for instance this particular oracle post. The words stand as facts before you (this is what has been written) but can any of you honestly say what prompted me to write the piece? Do any of you understand the motive behind my words? My intention is hidden from you is it not? You can try all you like to read between the lines to gain greater perspective, some of you may even think you have a handle on it but what you deem to be real may in fact simply be your version of the events that led to this oracle composition… until I physically tell you what my motive is.

This is a week to make your choices based on the facts. What you think you know, what you believe and what might be apparent will not hold weight under scrutiny and cannot sustain your case one way or another. Whatever is happening in your life, whatever dilemma you are attempting to unravel to make some semblance of a plan, let it be based in real, tangible, measurable indicators.

Something as simple as the Christmas Party… “how many shall I book for? I haven’t had an RSVP from several.” Easy… how many have already responded with a yes? That’s how many you book for. “What if someone else decides to go?” Easy… let them call the venue and add a place. What if, is sending you down a road of supposition and not fact and blind justice cannot see it. If you book more, you run the risk of losing your deposit when ‘what if’ fails to show.

It may seem cold, unfeeling and even narrow sighted, but you owe it to yourself to sort out the fact from the fantasy… everyone around you will soon get the hang of how you roll. This is not about being closed minded, or about closing your heart to others it’s simply about creating space in your mind so that your imagination can focus on something more inspiring than just guessing what other people’s motives are.

Where The Magic Happens

The path is created step by step, moment by moment each time you make a choice… and trust me you make a million choices, consciously or unconsciously across the space of any 24 hours, from what to wear to what to drink, to how to comb your hair or whether today is a good day to change you life entirely. Even adjusting your position microscopically to feel more comfortable is a choice but we often just do it as it comes naturally… something coming naturally is easily trained out when you activate a mindful approach to decision making…

Let’s take the consistent complainer for instance. Quite often they have no concept that their attitude is a negative one or indeed that they are sharing it, just as you may not have noticed that you just altered your posture because your neck was aching from looking down at the device you’re currently reading this from. Chances are they have fallen into the habitual state of acting without thinking first, of allowing conditioning and programming to take over and automatically fill in the blanks when it comes to making choices…

But right here, in this moment, that’s where the magic happens, right here you have a choice…

Before you act, think about the ramifications of your next move… this is not meant to cripple you into inaction, it’s purpose is to put you fully in control of your own life, knowing that the outcome, whether positive or negative is one that you have crafted. When you choose from an unconscious pattern of choice making you get to the end product and ask “why does this always happen to me?” Just because you weren’t paying attention to the decisions you were making doesn’t mean you weren’t making them, so think…

The first job is to recognise that you actually have a choice in front of you… if you are the serial complainer maybe you can start by counting how many complaints you utter during one solitary conversation (it’s just to raise your awareness that its happening). Next ask yourself a single question: “How can I see this situation differently?” What about venturing further by asking: “What would change in my life if I saw it differently?”

Sounds like it might take some time to get retrained but when you realise how much time you wasted walking the path completely asleep and unaware of the creative power you hold, seems like a short term trade off to me.

So, here where the magic happens, what’s it going to be? Choose wisely.

Evolution in Disguise

Taking my own advice over the last couple of days,  you may have noticed my Monday post to be conspicuous by its absence. Instead of pushing against my own natural energy rhythms and cycles I invested yesterday in filling my own metaphorical Grail cup by spending the day getting back to nature.

Mother Nature has everything we need in her storehouse and its freely available to aid whatever ails you, in my case it was just the need to pull back from everyday stresses, breathe in some good clean country air and to witness the magnificence of the creatures that we are blessed to share the planet with.

We get so jammed up inside our own heads, attempting to unravel this dilemma and that one, that we actually fool ourselves into believing that those mundane daily decisions are life threatening… (of course one or two of those decisions are and please excuse yourself from being tarred with the same brush if that is indeed the case), but on the whole, though it may seem like the next choice you make could actually end your world as you know it, look outside for a few moments… I mean really look. The world is still turning, it’s oblivious and if the beautiful Fallow Deer I saw yesterday are anything to go by, it’s too busy being happy and free to care.

Now, once you get out of your own head, maybe out of your usual environment and back to nature… just breathe. The answers will come and the truth is, you can always choose again if you get it wrong.

Let go of your attachment to the outcomes and just decide what you’d like to try. Consequences are merely evolution in disguise.
