Blinded By The Light

Possibly the most exciting phase of any project or relationship is the start up. The steep learning curve pushing you beyond your own personal glass ceiling into brand new territory, scary as it maybe, changes you forever as new knowledge integrates and overrides your previous assumption of capability and often your belief system which until you know that you didn’t know, how could you know that those beliefs were self-limiting?

It’s all very exciting (as I said) until you hit the first major snag or obstacle.

Obstacles are not put in your way to rob you of your joy, they aren’t some kind of cosmic karmic punishment, instead, see them as Divine protection designed primarily to alert you to an issue. Sometimes that issue is simply a need for more learning, sometimes it’s pointing out that you are heading straight for danger.

Let’s assume for a moment that all the obstacles in your way are mighty angels. (I like that image, I’m much less likely to try to barge through without stopping to acknowledge the awe and majesty of the being before me)… but that beautiful angel is still in the way, right? The difference is that now you are asking questions, your excited by the obstacles and you are positively buzzing about what you need to do to not only get past the problem but to actually make friends with it and make it your ally. Imagine having an angel on your side!

Now where you once saw a mountain blocking your path that sent you into child mode, stamping your little feet about why it always goes wrong for you, you now are being blinded by the light… light so bright that it blinds you to all but the solutions!

Instead of allowing problems and delays to steal your joy, allow them to shine a light on your potential.

May you be carried simply and swiftly into the slipstream towards your own miracles today.

A Gently Pointing Wing

Archangel Azrael, my guardian, guide and friend, spoke plainly to me yesterday as I did my morning meditation: “I stand and watch you each day. Sometimes I whisper guidance, occasionally I catch you when you fall, but mostly I just watch you. What would you have me watch you do today?” I thought about it for a moment and then reeled off the basic tasks I had to complete during the day as he listened patiently… nothing exciting in the list but then I hadn’t planned anything other than dealing with loose ends and daily stuff. His response was just enough though, to propel me into a completely different mindset and send me off in an unexpected direction via a gently pointing wing…

All he said was: “It takes just one decision to live your best life.”

Now I don’t know about you but when the Angel of Death turns up and basically tells you he’s bored of watching your everyday merry-go-round, I’m going to take notice and re-evaluate what step I take next!

The angelic realm are witness to our hopes, ¬†our dreams, our efforts, actions and failings and they must stand by until we ask for help (or until we are in danger of buggering up the Divine Plan). They don’t judge and they don’t scold if you take an imagined wrong turn but they do feel complete compassion when you choose to berate yourself for missing the mark or for not living up to a standard that you set for yourself… probably based on someone else’s achievements.

Azrael didn’t tell me he was bored, he told me I held the power to achieve my own dreams… I could have been offended if my ego had responded but I’ve had him around for so long that I knew he was encouraging me to simply change one thing and be blessed.

Principle 3: I AM Human, and sometimes I need a little help from the angels.

How do you respond to divine guidance?
